Position Overview

The Quality Technician at this Dubai bottled water and beverage manufacturing plant is a comprehensive, daily operations quality role responsible for conducting all QC activities across water treatment, production lines, online checks, and laboratory operations in accordance with SOPs. You will execute sampling and testing of raw water, treated water, process samples, finished products, raw materials, and packaging materials; perform chemical and physical analysis; monitor critical quality parameters; conduct GMP, GHP, hygiene, and CCP inspections; monitor food safety prerequisite programs; inspect incoming materials; identify and manage non-conformities through CAPA and root-cause analysis; maintain complete QC records; support audits and quality investigations; coordinate with Production, Maintenance, and Warehouse; and operate laboratory equipment and automated Water Treatment Plant systems safely and effectively.

Why This Role Matters: As Quality Technician in this Dubai bottled water plant, every water sample you test, every CCP you monitor, every GMP inspection you conduct, and every non-conformance you identify and manage is directly protecting the safety and purity of the water that thousands of UAE consumers drink every day. Your technical vigilance — from the raw water entering the treatment plant to the finished bottle leaving the production line — is the last line of defense between production and the consumer, making this one of the most consequential and professionally rewarding QC roles in Dubai’s FMCG manufacturing sector.

 Key Responsibilities

Daily QC Operations — Water Treatment, Production & Laboratory

  • Conduct daily QC activities across water treatment, production lines, online checks, and laboratory operations — following all applicable SOPs, quality specifications, and documented quality management system procedures to ensure consistent quality performance throughout the plant’s operations
  • Execute structured sampling and testing programs covering raw water, treated water, process intermediate samples, finished bottled water products, raw materials, and packaging materials — ensuring all samples are collected, handled, and tested according to defined sampling protocols and testing methodologies
  • Perform comprehensive chemical and physical analysis — monitoring critical quality parameters across both the water treatment processes and the bottling production lines to verify compliance with product specifications and regulatory limits at every critical control point

GMP, GHP, Hygiene & CCP Inspections

  • Conduct routine GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) and GHP (Good Hygiene Practice) inspections across all plant areas — including production floors, bottling lines, water treatment areas, warehouse, and support areas — documenting findings accurately and following up on corrective actions to closure
  • Monitor and verify all CCPs (Critical Control Points) in the HACCP plan — ensuring monitoring activities are conducted at required frequencies, monitoring records are accurately maintained, and any CCP deviation triggers immediate escalation and corrective action in line with HACCP plan requirements
  • Monitor food safety prerequisite programs across the facility — including cleaning and sanitation schedules, pest control programs, and personal hygiene compliance — verifying effectiveness and documenting results in line with ISO 22000 and company food safety management system requirements

Raw Material & Packaging Inspection

  • Inspect all incoming raw materials and packaging materials — conducting receipt inspections against defined quality specifications, sampling incoming lots according to approved sampling plans, and approving or rejecting materials based on test results before they are released for use in production
  • Prepare clear, accurate incoming material inspection reports — documenting all findings, test results, and approval or rejection decisions with full traceability and supporting the maintenance of organized, audit-ready incoming goods inspection records

Non-Conformance Management — CAPA, NCR & Root-Cause Analysis

  • Identify, document, and manage all quality non-conformities and food safety deviations — raising Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) promptly, initiating CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) investigations, and conducting or supporting structured root-cause analyses to identify the underlying causes of quality failures
  • Follow up rigorously on all open CAPAs and NCRs — verifying that corrective actions are implemented effectively and within agreed timelines, and that preventive measures reduce or eliminate the recurrence of the identified non-conformances
  • Monitor quality trends across the plant — analyzing quality data, identifying recurring issues, escalating patterns of concern to QA management, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives that drive sustained quality performance improvement

QC Records, Audits & Cross-Departmental Coordination

  • Maintain accurate, complete, and well-organized QC records — including laboratory test logs, HACCP monitoring records, CCP verification records, GMP inspection reports, incoming material inspection records, and CAPA documentation — ensuring all records are audit-ready at all times
  • Support all internal, external, customer, and third-party audits — preparing QC documentation, demonstrating testing procedures and monitoring activities, responding to auditor queries accurately, and ensuring timely, effective closure of all audit findings within agreed timelines
  • Coordinate effectively with Production, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other departments to ensure quality and food safety requirements are understood, implemented, and consistently maintained across all plant functions throughout every production shift

Laboratory Equipment & Water Treatment Plant Systems

  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory testing equipment — including equipment used for microbiological, chemical, and physical water and beverage quality testing — following all calibration schedules, maintenance procedures, and safe operation requirements
  • Operate automated Water Treatment Plant systems safely and effectively — monitoring process parameters, identifying deviations from normal operating ranges, and coordinating with maintenance when system performance issues require technical intervention

Qualifications & Requirements

MANDATORY Requirements — Non-Negotiable

  • Minimum 5 years of Quality Control or Quality Assurance experience specifically within the FMCG, beverage, or bottled water manufacturing industry — candidates without this minimum experience level will not be considered
  • Mandatory UAE or GCC experience in the bottled water or beverage industry — hands-on experience in a high-volume UAE or GCC water bottling or beverage manufacturing plant is an absolute requirement; candidates without this specific UAE/GCC industry background will not be considered

Technical Knowledge Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of quality control systems within a bottled water or beverage manufacturing environment — including production line QC, water treatment quality monitoring, finished product testing, and raw material quality assurance
  • Good understanding of HACCP, GMP, GHP, ISO 22000, food safety management systems, SOPs, and food safety prerequisite programs as applied in a bottled water or beverage manufacturing context
  • Knowledge of water treatment processes and associated quality parameters — including treatment technologies, water quality specifications, and treatment effectiveness monitoring
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory testing, sampling procedures, and chemical/physical analysis relevant to bottled water and beverage quality control
  • Understanding of CCPs, quality specifications, NCRs, CAPA, root-cause analysis, and quality audit requirements in a food safety management system context
