Position Overview
This RO & STP Technician role involves operating and monitoring RO plant systems, inspecting pumps, filters, valves and dosing systems, ensuring proper chemical dosing and daily water quality testing, operating sewage treatment plant equipment including aeration systems and clarifiers, ensuring treated effluent meets environmental standards, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, replacing filters, membranes and pumps, coordinating with contractors for major repairs, and maintaining accurate operational and maintenance logs.

Key Responsibilities
RO Plant Operations
- Operate and monitor RO plant systems to ensure uninterrupted water production
- Monitor plant parameters and perform maintenance activities
- Inspect pumps, filters, valves, dosing systems and control panels regularly
- Ensure proper chemical dosing and conduct daily water quality testing
- Troubleshoot RO system failures and coordinate repairs when required
Sewage Treatment Plant Operations
- Operate and monitor sewage treatment plant equipment and processes
- Check aeration systems, blowers, pumps, clarifiers, sludge handling systems and dosing units
- Monitor wastewater treatment parameters and ensure treated effluent meets standards
- Respond promptly to alarms, equipment malfunctions and process abnormalities
Maintenance Duties
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance of all RO and STP equipment
- Inspect electrical and mechanical components for wear and damage
- Replace filters, membranes, pumps, seals, bearings and other consumables as required
- Coordinate with external contractors for major repairs and servicing
- Maintain adequate inventory of spare parts and treatment chemicals
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
Experience Requirements
- At least 2 years of related work experience
- No supervisory experience required
Essential Skills
- Ability to inspect tools, equipment and machines visually
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push and pull objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps and/or ladders
- Clear and professional communication skills
