- Design the centralised reconciliation database architecture — modelling invoice data, PO/receipt/contract/price reference data, tolerance bands, matching outcomes, and exception states across multiple client entities
- Design and implement the unified billing-verification matching engine — including two-way and three-way match logic, tolerance handling, duplicate detection, and exception classification
- Ensure full audit trail, RBAC/entity scoping via Entra ID, observability, performance at scale (hundreds of thousands of invoices per year), and SLA readiness across the production platform
Reconciliation Rules Workshops & Finance Process Translation
- Run reconciliation-rules and scenario-catalogue workshops with client AP, procurement, and tax teams to elicit matching rules, exception handling logic, and business action requirements
- Translate workshop outcomes into precise rules specifications, actions, and notifications — including posting authorisation on match, supplier credit-note request on rejection, and exception escalation workflows
- Apply solid understanding of procure-to-pay and AP invoice-matching controls — two/three-way match, tolerances, duplicate detection, and exception handling — to validate and challenge client requirements
- Maintain excellent facilitation with finance users and translate business rules into precise technical specifications that the engineering squad can implement unambiguously
Squad Leadership — Backend, Frontend & Data/ML
- Lead a squad of backend, frontend, and data/ML engineers — managing backlog, sprint planning, technical quality, code review, and deployment through QA/UAT/Production on Kubernetes

Experience Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years leading product or platform delivery (REQUIRED)
