Position Overview
This Health, Safety, and Environment Officer role involves overseeing health, food, fire and environmental safety programs across designated hotels, applying risk management practices related to public health and security, conducting regular safety and hygiene audits and fire tours, leading investigations into incidents and implementing corrective actions, managing contractor compliance with Facilities, delivering food hygiene and fire safety training, and supporting environmental sustainability initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
Safety Compliance Leadership
- Oversee health, food, fire and environmental safety programs across designated hotels
- Ensure a safe experience for guests, team members and visitors
Risk Management
- Apply company safety policies and proactively manage risks related to public health, accessibility, security, housing and trading standards
Audits & Compliance Monitoring
- Conduct regular safety and hygiene audits, fire tours and system tests
- Document results and ensure follow-up to maintain full regulatory compliance
Incident Investigation & Contractor Management
- Lead investigations into food poisoning, accidents and guest complaints
- Analyze data and implement corrective actions to reduce civil claims
- Partner with Facilities to monitor contractor activity and enforce safety standards
Training & Environmental Support
- Facilitate food hygiene, fire safety and other compliance training programs
- Provide coaching and formal instruction to managers and team members
- Collaborate with environmental champions to promote sustainability initiatives
