Le Méridien Fujairah is seeking a Pool Plant Operator / Maintenance Technician to join its Engineering & Facilities team. This full-time, on-site role covers a broad range of hotel maintenance responsibilities, from guest repair requests to preventive maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across the property.

Key Responsibilities
Guest Repairs & Preventive Maintenance
- Respond and attend to guest repair requests, communicating directly with guests to resolve maintenance issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines, and identify, locate, and operate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs
Technical Systems & Repairs
- Display working knowledge across air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and kitchen equipment
- Test, troubleshoot, and perform basic repairs on plumbing, electrical components, lamps, extension cords, and guestroom items
- Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement, and area cleanup
Inventory, Safety & Documentation
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed
- Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
- Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts using approved communication programs and standards
Guest Service & Property Upkeep
- Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards and address service needs promptly
- Perform repairs on interior and exterior landscaping, including external landscaping sprinklers
- Display basic computer skills, including inputting air handler schedules and making temperature changes
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
- Some experience in general maintenance, exterior and interior surface preparation, and painting
- Experience in hotel engineering or maintenance is a plus
- No supervisory experience required
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, and pull objects up to 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to move up and down stairs, service ramps, and ladders, and reach overhead and below the knees
