Position Overview
As HUB Cargo Officer, you will plan and oversee cargo warehouse activities on a shift basis, monitoring inbound quality, optimizing onward connections and maximizing revenue. The role covers space optimization, red route monitoring, regulatory compliance and close coordination with service providers to achieve on-time departure performance, especially for freighter and RFS operations.

 Key Responsibilities
- Monitor inbound quality, physical build, weight and volume to avoid stow loss and maximize revenue
- Implement best practices with Service Providers to reduce operational discrepancies
- Monitor red routes and optimize space using Cargo Spot, including pre-carrying and connection reviews
- Ensure compliance with Health, Security and Safety requirements, including ULD lashing and PPE use
- Maintain close working relationships with Service Providers to achieve On-Time Departure Performance
- Ensure compliance with Etihad procedures on safety, security and Dangerous Goods
- Support the Cargo Operations Center Duty Manager in meeting departmental and corporate targets
- Support measurement tools and KPIs to track flight and resource performance
- Conduct spot checks on HDU and TRU units and coordinate volume updates with origin stations
- Provide on-the-job training and coaching to GHA staff to build their skills and confidence
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: High school level with specialization in cargo handling operations
- Certifications: Cargo and Dangerous Goods courses, live animals, weight and balance, general cargo procedures
- Experience: At least 3 years in cargo operations
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of cargo handling processes and regulatory compliance
- Flexibility: Able to work across shifts and cross-skill into multiple operational positions
