About the Role
The Specialized Power Operator starts up, shuts down, and monitors LNG/ASR plant equipment on shift under the Shift Supervisor Field, working across Process, Power, Steam, and Storage & Export areas. Duties include logging readings, spotting equipment defects, and operating gas and steam turbines, power generators, boilers, and water and air systems that keep the plant running safely around the clock.

Key Responsibilities
Plant Operation & Monitoring
- Operate, start up, and shut down LNG/ASR plant equipment safely within the assigned area
- Monitor plant activity through observation and routine patrols across Process, Power, Steam, and Storage & Export units
- Log and record readings, and identify and report equipment defects promptly
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate with the Supervisor Control Room, Shift Supervisor Field, and Controller Shift on plant status
- Liaise with Maintenance, Lab, and Civil teams, and with ship officers during jetty loading operations
- Communicate clearly over plant radio, including in noisy or breathing-apparatus conditions
Safety, Training & Continuous Improvement
- Comply with HSE policies, procedures, and ADNOC Code of Practices at all times
- Participate in emergency response duties as an active team member
- Provide on-the-job training support for UAE Nationalization competency programs
- Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in operating procedures
Qualifications & Requirements
- Technical Diploma, Secondary School Certificate with vocational trade certificate, or ATI graduate
- 4–6 years of experience as a Plant Shift Operator in the Oil & Gas industry
- Working knowledge of DCS (Distributed Control System) operations
- Good spoken and written English and clear radio communication skills
- Strong coordination, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Boiler Engineer/Attendant certification from the relevant regulatory authority
- ISPS certification required
- Ability to detect equipment failures through condition monitoring
