Warehouse Assistant Position Overview
This is a full-time, on-site role at the heart of Zahr Freighters’ warehouse. Your day starts with incoming cargo: unloading, counting and checking goods against paperwork. From there you store items correctly, prepare outgoing orders and help coordinate dispatch. Along the way you will run regular stock counts, flag discrepancies and report any damaged goods to your supervisor.

What You Will Do Day to Day
- Receive, unload and check incoming shipments.
- Verify goods against delivery notes, invoices and shipping documents.
- Organise and store products in the correct warehouse locations.
- Pick, pack, label and prepare goods for dispatch.
- Load and unload cargo safely and efficiently.
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock records, and run regular stock counts.
- Inspect goods for damage and report issues to the supervisor.
- Support order preparation, dispatch coordination and shipment documentation.
- Coordinate with supervisors, drivers and logistics staff.
- Follow company policies and health and safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school certificate or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse, freight forwarding or logistics experience is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of inventory management and warehouse procedures.
- Ability to lift and move goods safely.
- Good organisation and time-management skills.
- Able to read delivery notes, stock lists and basic warehouse documents.
- Good communication, teamwork and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual and able to meet operational deadlines.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and safe handling is an advantage.
