Key Responsibilities
SAP & WMS Goods Movement Booking
- Book all incoming and outgoing goods movements accurately and promptly in SAP and the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Ensure all stock movements — receipts, transfers, and dispatches — are correctly documented and reflected in inventory records
- Identify and resolve SAP posting errors or discrepancies in a timely and methodical manner to maintain inventory data integrity
- Support the continuous improvement of SAP warehouse processes through active participation in system optimisation initiatives
Aluminium Coil Handling, Forklift & Crane Operation
- Coordinate and control the physical movement of aluminium coils and rolls using forklifts and overhead cranes safely and competently
- Ensure the orderly, safe, and space-efficient storage of aluminium rolls across all designated warehouse storage areas
- Carry out routine forklift checks and report any equipment faults or safety concerns immediately to the shift supervisor
- Adhere strictly to all Novelis safety standards, PPE requirements, and equipment operating procedures during all shift activities
Goods Receipt, Dispatch & Customs Documentation
- Control and oversee incoming goods deliveries — verifying quantities, condition, and documentation against purchase orders and delivery notes
- Prepare and process customs and export documentation accurately for all international goods movements in compliance with regulations
- Coordinate with logistics service providers, transport companies, and internal departments on incoming and outgoing shipment schedules
- Ensure all dispatch activities are completed accurately, on time, and with full supporting documentation for audit and compliance purposes
Inventory Management, Lean & Continuous Improvement
- Support annual stock count and cycle inventory activities — counting, verifying, and reconciling aluminium coil inventory accurately
- Contribute actively to Lean and continuous improvement initiatives within the Novelis Goch warehouse and logistics operations
- Identify inefficiencies in warehouse workflows and propose practical, operationally sound solutions to team leaders and supervisors
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safety-compliant warehouse environment at all times in line with Novelis 5S and safety standards
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational & Professional Requirements
- Successfully completed Ausbildung as Fachkraft für Lagerlogistik or an equivalent relevant logistics qualification
- Valid forklift and crane operator licence (Staplerschein) — essential for daily aluminium coil handling and storage operations
Experience Requirements
