Key Responsibilities
Daily QC Supervision & Production Floor Oversight
- Supervise and manage all daily quality control activities across food production operations to ensure consistent product quality
- Monitor production processes in real time to identify and address quality deviations before they impact product standards
- Ensure all QC checks, sampling plans, and product inspections are carried out accurately, on schedule, and fully documented
- Maintain continuous quality oversight from raw material receipt through production to finished product dispatch
HACCP, ISO & Food Safety Compliance
- Ensure full and consistent compliance with HACCP principles, ISO food safety management standards, and all applicable Saudi food safety regulations
- Monitor and verify critical control points (CCPs) throughout the food production process to prevent food safety hazards
- Maintain up-to-date HACCP and ISO documentation, quality records, and food safety management system files
- Proactively identify food safety risks and implement preventive measures to maintain full regulatory compliance at all times
Inspections, Audits & Quality Checks
- Conduct regular and systematic inspections of all production areas, raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
- Plan and execute internal quality audits to assess compliance with HACCP, ISO, GMP, and company quality standards
- Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present findings with clear, actionable recommendations to management
- Ensure the facility is consistently audit-ready for both internal and external food safety and quality reviews
Hygiene, Sanitation & GMP Monitoring
- Monitor and enforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards across all production and storage areas
- Conduct regular hygiene inspections and sanitation checks to ensure the production environment meets the highest food safety requirements
- Identify hygiene or GMP deficiencies and coordinate immediate corrective action with the relevant teams to resolve issues without delay
Non-Conformance Management & Corrective Actions
- Handle all non-conformance reports (NCRs) professionally — investigating root causes, documenting findings, and implementing effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
- Track the status and effectiveness of all corrective actions and verify that identified quality issues are fully resolved in a timely manner
- Maintain comprehensive records of all non-conformances, corrective actions, and quality improvement activities for management review
QC Team Training, Leadership & Development
- Lead, train, coach, and mentor QC team members to build a high-performing, knowledgeable, and motivated quality control team
- Deliver structured training on HACCP, GMP, food safety standards, hygiene protocols, and quality inspection techniques
- Evaluate QC team competencies regularly and provide constructive feedback to support continuous professional development
Cross-Functional Coordination & Quality Improvement
- Coordinate closely with the production team, operations management, and senior leadership to align quality objectives with production goals
- Contribute proactively to quality improvement initiatives, process optimisation projects, and food safety enhancement programmes
- Communicate quality performance metrics, KPIs, and improvement opportunities clearly to relevant stakeholders across the business
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Food Technology, Food Science, Food Engineering, or a closely related field — strongly preferred
- Additional certifications in HACCP, ISO 22000, food safety management, or GMP are a valuable professional advantage
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of quality control experience in the food industry — this is a firm requirement for this supervisor-level position
- Proven hands-on experience in HACCP implementation, food safety audits, GMP compliance, and QC team supervision in food manufacturing
