Position Overview
This Senior Corporate Accountant role is a remote, full-time opportunity open to candidates in the UAE, focused on preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. You will lead month-end and year-end close processes including reconciliations and adjustments, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and filings, analyze financial data to identify trends and cost optimization opportunities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Statement Preparation
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Ensure all reporting is accurate and compliant with GAAP standards
- Deliver timely financial statements to support business decision-making
- Maintain consistency and accuracy across all reporting periods
Month-End & Year-End Close
- Lead month-end and year-end close processes across the organization
- Perform reconciliations and adjustments to ensure accurate closing figures
- Coordinate with teams to resolve discrepancies before finalizing books
- Ensure close processes are completed efficiently and on schedule
Tax & Regulatory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Prepare and support accurate and timely tax filings
- Stay current with evolving regulatory requirements affecting reporting
- Support financial audits with accurate documentation and records
Financial Analysis & Cost Optimization
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and variances
- Recommend opportunities for cost optimization based on data insights
- Use advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP, for analysis
- Provide clear, actionable financial insights to leadership
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting
- Contribute financial expertise to strategic planning initiatives
- Communicate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
- Support high-stakes decision-making with reliable financial data
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or CPA candidate status preferred
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a senior accounting role
- Experience with financial audits
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in ERP systems for financial reporting and reconciliation
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP standards
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail across complex financial data sets
