Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain efficient, high-quality, and reusable code to train and continuously optimise AI models
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code across Python and JavaScript/TypeScript stacks in collaborative remote environments
- Conduct thorough peer reviews of code and technical documentation to maintain engineering quality across the team
- Apply Docker for containerisation and deployment of AI model training pipelines and full-stack application components
Model Evaluation & Benchmarking
- Conduct evaluations (evals) to benchmark AI model performance and analyse results to drive continuous quality improvement
- Evaluate and rank AI model responses to user queries across diverse domains against predefined performance criteria
- Use performance measurement tools and methodologies to assess model output quality, consistency, and alignment
- Provide detailed, structured feedback on model outputs to support researchers in advancing frontier AI capabilities
Supervised Fine-Tuning & RLHF
- Lead efforts in supervised fine-tuning (SFT), including creating and maintaining high-quality task-specific training datasets
- Collaborate with researchers and annotators to execute reinforcement learning with human feedback (RLHF) processes
- Contribute to refining reward models that guide AI systems toward more accurate, helpful, and aligned behaviour
- Ensure all datasets and training pipelines meet the quality, consistency, and scale requirements of US AI client projects
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional US-based teams including researchers, product engineers, and annotators
- Contribute to model performance improvements and product enhancements across multiple AI research and commercial initiatives
- Share technical insights and support knowledge transfer across the distributed development and AI research team
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve code efficiency, model performance, and development workflows remotely
Qualifications & Requirements
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript — both required as core languages for this full-stack AI developer role
