Position Overview
The R&D Executive – Fillings & Chocolate Products role at La Prima UAE is central to the company’s food innovation efforts. You will support formulation, testing, and refinement of fillings and chocolate-based products, working alongside the Head of R&D and Business Manager to ensure new and existing products meet quality, taste, and market standards within the FMCG food manufacturing space.

Key Responsibilities
Product Research & Formulation
- Research, develop, and refine fillings and chocolate product formulations
- Conduct trials to improve taste, texture, and shelf stability of confectionery products
- Support new product development (NPD) initiatives from concept through to production
Quality & Process Support
- Work with production teams to ensure formulations translate smoothly to manufacturing scale
- Monitor product quality throughout development and testing phases
- Document research findings, trial results, and formulation adjustments
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Report directly to the Head of R&D / Business Manager on project progress
- Coordinate with production, quality, and business teams on product timelines
- Support the wider R&D department on ongoing food manufacturing innovation projects
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field
Experience Requirements
- Prior experience in FMCG food manufacturing R&D, ideally with fillings or chocolate products
- Hands-on formulation or product development experience preferred
Essential Skills
- Strong understanding of food formulation and R&D processes
- Attention to detail in testing, documentation, and quality control
- Good communication skills for cross-functional coordination
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small R&D team
