Competitive Compensation

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

As Precision Agronomy Specialist at Central Farm Service, your responsibilities include:

Central Advantage Service (Complete All Aspects)

  • Write variable rate seed recommendations based on field data and yield analysis
  • Write variable rate fertilizer recommendations optimizing nutrient applications
  • Serve as trusted agronomic advisor to growers by analyzing correlations to yield
  • Help growers make data-based crop decisions improving profitability and sustainability

Crop Planning & Strategic Advisory

  • Help growers create comprehensive crop plan each year
  • Analyze historical yield data identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Provide agronomic recommendations based on data analysis
  • Support long-term farm planning and decision-making

Precision Technology Support

  • Update equipment monitors with latest software and calibrations
  • Load variable rate recommendations into precision agriculture equipment
  • Troubleshoot precision technology issues in field and remotely
  • Provide technical support ensuring growers can execute variable rate applications

Data Collection & Management

  • Collect all crop input applications from growers
  • Enter data into Central Advantage Program following strict protocols
  • Ensure accurate results delivered for individual grower reports
  • Maintain data integrity for group correlations and benchmarking
  • Follow data entry protocols ensuring quality and consistency

Grower Service Delivery

  • Deliver consistent grower experience across 30,000 to 45,000 acres
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with growers through year-round interaction
  • Engage with growers throughout all key times of year (planning, planting, growing season, harvest)

NitrateNow Service (Complete All Aspects)

  • Write variable rate nitrogen recommendations optimizing N applications
  • Load nitrogen recommendations into equipment monitors
  • Provide precision technology support for nitrogen management
  • Help growers maximize nitrogen use efficiency

Business Development & Growth

  • Continually expand all programs through prospecting new growers
  • Identify opportunities to grow precision agriculture services
  • Promote Central Advantage and NitrateNow programs to potential clients

Safety & Professionalism

  • Know and follow all company safety policies and procedures
  • Perform work in safe manner observing all traffic laws
  • Follow all OSHA state and federal safety regulations

Independent Decision-Making

Requirements & Qualifications
