Position Overview
This Production Supervisor role involves overseeing all shift operations in assigned dairy production section ensuring smooth coordination of activities. You will execute daily production plans maintaining uninterrupted workflow, ensure products are manufactured and packed in compliance with company specifications, coordinate with UHT processing, filling operations, QA, and maintenance teams, monitor production performance including yield, losses, and reprocessing activities, supervise operators and labor teams providing technical guidance, and ensure compliance with food safety, health & safety, environmental, and GMP standards.

Key Responsibilities
Shift Operations Management
- Responsible for overall shift operations in assigned production section as primary point of contact
- Execute daily production plans anticipating upcoming requirements for uninterrupted workflow
- Coordinate with UHT processing, filling operations, data entry, RMS, QA, and maintenance teams
- Ensure smooth coordination of all activities and efficient production scheduling
Production Quality & Compliance
- Ensure products manufactured and packed in compliance with company specifications
- Maintain strict adherence to quality, quantity, and food safety standards
- Monitor product inspections ensuring quality and accuracy prior to transfer
- Enforce food safety, health & safety, and environmental policies on production floor
Performance Monitoring & Optimization
- Monitor production performance including yield, losses, and reprocessing activities
- Ensure optimal resource utilization including raw materials, packaging, manpower, equipment
- Evaluate each stage of production process to maintain optimum efficiency and productivity
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction activities
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Supervise operators, assistants, and labor teams providing technical guidance
- Ensure effective task execution and issue resolution during operations
- Manage manpower planning, shift scheduling, and training coordination
- Promote disciplined, professional, and safety-focused working environment
Equipment & Maintenance Coordination
- Oversee equipment readiness and preventive maintenance coordination
- Manage breakdown reporting and post-maintenance inspections
- Ensure operational reliability of processing and packing equipment
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment performance optimization
Standards Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, Environment, Lean, and GMP standards
- Maintain high levels of cleanliness and 5S across production area
- Monitor production reports, QC data, KPIs, and audit requirements
- Support internal and external audits ensuring regulatory compliance
Communication & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain effective communication between management and employees
- Participate in trainings, workshops, root cause analysis sessions
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives enhancing productivity
- Support loss reduction projects and operational efficiency improvements
Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Science & Technology (REQUIRED)
- OR Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology
- OR related field in food manufacturing and dairy processing
Certifications
- Certification in Food Safety – HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000 preferred
- Additional training in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or 5S advantageous
- Professional certifications in dairy processing or food safety beneficial
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working in food manufacturing facility (REQUIRED)
- Preferably dairy manufacturing or FMCG dairy production environment
- Experience in shift-based production operations and team supervision
- Background in high-volume dairy processing advantageous
Essential Technical Skills
- In-depth knowledge of dairy processing – UHT, pasteurization, homogenization
- Experience with packaging operations especially Tetra Pak systems
- Understanding of food safety standards – HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, hygiene practices
- Knowledge of quality control parameters for dairy products
- Familiarity with CIP (Clean-In-Place) and sanitation processes
- Experience with production planning, line balancing, meeting production targets
