Position Overview
This Supply Chain Manager role involves overseeing Procurement, Logistics, Material Management, and Distribution functions for an engineering and manufacturing company in the Northern Emirates. You will identify and manage key vendor relationships, develop inventory control strategies, oversee domestic and international shipping and customs compliance, negotiate high-value contracts, monitor global market trends and supply chain disruptions, and align procurement schedules with Engineering and Project Management timelines.

Procurement & Vendor Management
- Oversee Procurement, Logistics, Material Management, and Distribution functions
- Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key vendors for engineering components and raw materials
- Negotiate high-value contracts and lead cost-reduction initiatives without compromising quality
Inventory & Material Management
- Develop and implement inventory control strategies to minimize carrying costs
- Ensure zero production downtime through effective material planning
- Coordinate specialized tooling and raw material availability for project needs
Logistics & Distribution
- Oversee domestic and international shipping and customs compliance
- Manage warehousing operations to ensure seamless delivery to project sites
- Coordinate distribution logistics across engineering and manufacturing project locations
Risk Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Monitor global market trends and supply chain disruptions to build contingency plans
- Work closely with Engineering and Project Management teams on procurement scheduling
- Align supply chain strategy with overall project timelines and budgets
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Engineering, or Business
Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain or procurement, preferably in engineering or manufacturing
- Strong relevant experience in Procurement and Logistics required
Essential Skills
- Proficiency in ERP software such as SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Advanced Excel skills
- CSCP, CPIM, or CPSM certifications highly desirable
- Strong analytical skills to identify patterns and efficiency opportunities
- Strong negotiation capabilities balancing supplier relationships with commercial interests
- Ability to adapt quickly to global logistics challenges
