Position Overview
This Lead Connectivity Engineer role analyzes project scope, technical risks, and requirements to define project-level test strategies, deploying sophisticated software and electronic testing solutions. You will design and lead comprehensive test strategies covering robot behaviors and AI/ML features, adapt plans as project architecture evolves, identify testing needs for new technologies like IoT and machine learning, assess third-party supplier test processes and quality metrics, define clear quality criteria and acceptance standards, and drive integration testing to ensure third-party components work seamlessly with whole systems.

Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy Definition & Execution
- Analyze project scope, technical risks, and requirements to define project-level test strategies
- Deploy sophisticated software and electronic testing solutions to ensure efficient requirement verification
- Design and lead comprehensive test strategy and plans, overseeing execution including robot behaviors and AI/ML features
- Adapt plans as project scope or architecture evolves
Emerging Technology & Problem Solving
- Identify unique testing needs when new technologies like IoT and machine learning are introduced
- Identify test-related technical problems and design solutions to fix them
Third-Party Supplier Quality Management
- Assess third-party suppliers’ and partners’ test strategies, processes, and software quality metrics
- Define clear quality criteria and acceptance standards for third-party deliverables
- Set expectations around documentation, defect rates, test coverage, and code quality metrics
Integration Testing & Accountability
- Collaborate directly with third-party engineers or QA leads reviewing test documentation and results
- Drive integration testing plans to verify third-party components work seamlessly with whole systems
- Provide feedback, raise concerns early, and hold suppliers accountable for agreed quality benchmarks
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- A degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a related field
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with embedded systems, IoT, or real-time operating systems
- Good knowledge of AI/ML and related test experience, including multi-layered data sets and automation frameworks
- Robust programming abilities, particularly in Python
- Experience with IoT product software testing, including embedded software, app, cloud, and data analytics
Methodology & Process Knowledge
- Well-versed in Agile software engineering development, test, and software security development lifecycle
- Familiar with software quality assurance and related key techniques/tools
