 Position Overview
This is not a single-lane role — PodcastHub needs somebody equally comfortable and confident operating a camera in structured in-studio podcast sessions and independent, self-directed client shoots. The role spans in-studio production, client-site filming, and post-production editing, all within agreed deadlines.
 Why This Role Matters: As Camera Operator / Filmmaker, you set up and operate multi-camera recording setups for podcast sessions, owning audio quality, lighting, and smooth session switching, travel to client businesses to independently film branded content, including b-roll, interviews, and short-form social content, apply a strong creative eye on-site, reading the space and adapting the shot list in real time, communicate confidently with clients in both Arabic and English, understanding briefs and representing PodcastHub professionally, edit long-form and short-form content, applying color correction and audio cleanup to a broadcast-ready standard, and manage footage organization, backups, and file handoff, turning around edits within agreed deadlines across studio and client work.
Key Responsibilities
In-Studio Podcast Production
- Set up and operate multi-camera recording setups for podcast sessions
- Own audio quality on set — mic setup, levels, and monitoring
- Manage multi-camera switching/recording, troubleshooting equipment issues on the fly
Client-Site Production
- Travel to client businesses to independently film branded content, b-roll, and interviews
- Apply a strong creative eye on-site, adapting the shot list in real time
- Communicate confidently with clients in both Arabic and English
Post-Production
- Edit long-form and short-form content into a coherent, publish-ready final cut
- Apply color correction and audio cleanup to a broadcast-ready standard
- Add basic titles, lower-thirds, and motion graphics where needed
Workflow & Deadline Management
- Manage footage organization, backups, and file handoff
- Turn around edits within agreed deadlines, prioritizing across studio and client work
 Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a camera operator/videographer
- Experience spanning both multi-camera studio setups and independent field shoots
- Demonstrated video editing experience (Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro)
Essential Skills
- Working knowledge of audio recording standards and on-set lighting
- Fluent in spoken Arabic and English
- A strong, demonstrable creative/visual eye with a portfolio reel of past work
- Comfortable switching between structured studio sessions and independent client shoots
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience running multi-camera podcast or interview-style productions
- Experience in short-form content for Instagram/TikTok
- Basic motion graphics and graphic design skills
- Valid UAE driving license
