Bloomberg Intelligence Middle East FX Strategist Jobs Dubai UAE 2026

Bloomberg Intelligence (BI) — delivering independent, data-driven research and interactive datasets integrated into the Bloomberg Terminal for 500+ research professionals covering 135+ industries, 2,000+ companies, and major global markets — is seeking a Middle East FX Strategist in Dubai (Ref: 10054037). This senior research role is the lead Bloomberg Intelligence FX strategist for the Middle East — with primary responsibility for MENA and GCC currencies (Saudi riyal, UAE dirham, Qatari riyal, Kuwaiti dinar, and more), and an important contribution to BI’s global quantitative FX research including cross-market spot FX models and FX-options analytics across G10 and emerging markets. Requires 5+ years of professional FX analysis, research, or trading experience, with Python and Bloomberg Terminal proficiency highly valued.

About Bloomberg Intelligence — Independent Research on the Terminal

Platform: Bloomberg Intelligence (BI) — independent, data-driven research and interactive datasets integrated directly into the Bloomberg Terminal, helping investment professionals make decisions faster through analyst expertise combined with proprietary models, AI, and 600+ data contributors

Scale: 500+ research professionals covering 135+ industries and 2,000+ companies globally — company, credit, industry, and strategy research including government policy, litigation, corporate governance, and sustainable finance

Research Delivery: Curated Terminal dashboards and interactive research decks — with underlying data typically one click away, combining analyst perspectives with proprietary Bloomberg sources and emerging technologies including AI and automation

Role: Lead Middle East FX Strategist — the primary Bloomberg Intelligence voice on MENA and GCC currencies, with contribution to global quantitative FX research including cross-market spot FX models and FX-options analytics spanning G10 and emerging markets

Why This Bloomberg Intelligence Middle East FX Role Stands Out

Lead Regional FX Strategist Authority: Be the primary Bloomberg Intelligence voice on MENA and GCC foreign exchange — published research reaches Bloomberg Terminal users globally, giving your analytical work a professional reach and market participant audience that is unmatched in the financial information industry

GCC Currency Regime Expertise Platform: Develop differentiated perspectives on GCC currency pegs, basket-based frameworks, and the macroeconomic forces that determine their sustainability — analysis that matters to hedge funds, sovereign wealth managers, and institutional investors managing trillions in assets across the region

Global Quantitative FX Research Contribution: Contribute to cross-market spot FX models and FX-options analytics across G10 and emerging markets — extending the regional mandate into a genuinely global quantitative research contribution

Bloomberg Terminal + AI Research Infrastructure: Use Bloomberg data, analytics, and emerging AI technologies to improve research efficiency and develop new quantitative and data-driven FX analysis approaches — at the world’s most powerful financial information platform

Position Overview — Bloomberg Intelligence Middle East FX Strategist

This Bloomberg Intelligence Middle East FX Strategist leads BI’s research coverage of MENA and GCC foreign-exchange markets — providing timely analysis of macroeconomic, policy, market, and capital-flow developments affecting currencies in the region; developing differentiated perspectives on GCC currency regimes including pegs and basket-based frameworks; analysing cross-regional investment flows, hedge-fund positioning, local demand, and market dynamics influencing Middle Eastern currencies; developing and maintaining quantitative models, datasets, and analytical tools; contributing to cross-market spot FX models and FX-options analytics supporting BI’s G10 and global EM research; producing flagship research and timely analysis; collaborating with BI strategists globally; developing relationships with investors and traders; and using Bloomberg data, AI, and automation to improve research efficiency and develop new quantitative FX analysis approaches — published directly to Bloomberg Terminal users worldwide.

Why This Role Matters: As Bloomberg Intelligence Middle East FX Strategist, your published analysis on GCC currency regimes, Saudi riyal dynamics, UAE dirham peg sustainability, and MENA cross-border capital flows reaches the Bloomberg Terminal screens of institutional investors, sovereign wealth fund managers, hedge fund portfolio managers, and central bank research teams from Abu Dhabi to New York to Singapore — simultaneously, the moment your research is published. When your quantitative model correctly identifies that an accelerating decline in GCC external reserves is creating genuine peg sustainability pressure that the consensus is underweighting, your analysis of Saudi oil revenue seasonality and its implications for riyal forward markets gives a hedge fund the directional conviction to take a meaningful position before the macro development is broadly reflected in prices, or your FX-options analytics correctly signals that the market is mispricing tail risk in MENA currency volatility — you are not writing research. You are creating the analytical edge that Bloomberg Terminal clients use to make investment decisions that move capital. That is why Bloomberg Intelligence FX research at this level is among the most commercially and intellectually consequential analytical roles in global financial markets.

Key Responsibilities

MENA & GCC FX Coverage — Lead Research Authority

  • Lead Bloomberg Intelligence’s research coverage of MENA and GCC foreign-exchange markets — providing timely, differentiated analysis of the macroeconomic, policy, market, and capital-flow developments that affect currencies across the region, published directly to Bloomberg Terminal users worldwide
  • Develop differentiated perspectives on GCC currency regimes — including peg and basket-based frameworks — monitoring the macroeconomic, fiscal, external balance, and policy factors that affect their sustainability and analysing the market implications for institutional investors and traders with GCC currency exposure
  • Analyse cross-regional investment flows, hedge-fund positioning, local demand dynamics, and other market forces influencing Middle Eastern currencies — developing the regional market microstructure understanding that makes BI’s GCC FX research genuinely differentiated from generic EM coverage
  • Monitor currencies and regimes across the broader MENA region — including the Kuwaiti dinar, Moroccan dirham, Bahraini dinar, and Omani rial — providing the regional coverage breadth that reflects the full scope of Bloomberg clients’ Middle Eastern currency interests

Quantitative FX Model Development & Global Research Contribution

  • Develop and maintain quantitative models, datasets, and analytical tools to identify key FX drivers, relative-value opportunities, and market trends — applying Python, Excel, and Bloomberg data to build proprietary analytical infrastructure that makes BI’s Middle East FX research more rigorous, faster, and more differentiated
  • Contribute to cross-market spot FX models and FX-options analytics supporting BI’s G10 and global emerging-market FX research — extending the regional expertise of the Middle East mandate into quantitative contributions with genuinely global applicability
  • Use Bloomberg data, analytics, and emerging technologies — including AI and automation — to improve research efficiency and develop new approaches to quantitative and data-driven FX analysis that expand what Bloomberg Intelligence FX research can deliver
  • Collaborate with BI strategists and analysts globally to connect regional FX developments in the Middle East with broader emerging-market and global macro themes — contributing the regional perspective that enriches the cross-asset, cross-regional research that Bloomberg Intelligence delivers to its global client base

Flagship Research Production, Client Engagement & Market Relationships

  • Produce a combination of repeatable flagship research and timely analysis responding to major market, economic, and policy developments — maintaining the publication cadence and analytical quality standard that Bloomberg Intelligence Terminal clients depend on for their investment decision-making processes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with investors, traders, and other market participants — deepening BI’s understanding of GCC and MENA FX market dynamics and expanding the reach of our FX research to a broader audience of regional and international market participants
  • Develop strong, collaborative relationships with colleagues across Bloomberg’s research, analytics, and technology functions — contributing to the cross-disciplinary integration of analyst expertise, proprietary models, and emerging technologies that defines Bloomberg Intelligence’s research approach

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience analysing, researching, and/or trading foreign exchange — with demonstrated capability at the level required to lead Bloomberg Intelligence’s Middle East FX research mandate
  • Strong knowledge of Emerging Markets currencies and the macroeconomic, policy, and market factors that drive foreign-exchange markets — with the depth of understanding to develop genuinely differentiated analytical perspectives for Bloomberg Terminal clients
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct quantitative analysis and translate complex market data into differentiated, investment-relevant conclusions
  • Exceptional research, writing, and critical-thinking skills — producing the clarity, rigour, and analytical precision that Bloomberg Intelligence research requires
  • Self-starter and independent thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset — able to identify and develop research themes proactively rather than reactively
  • Excellent verbal communication and presentation skills — for engaging market participants, presenting research, and collaborating with Bloomberg colleagues globally
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline

Highly Valued

  • Direct experience analysing or trading GCC, MENA, or broader EM currencies — particularly the major GCC pegged and managed exchange rate regimes
  • Experience with quantitative FX strategies, spot FX modelling, and/or FX-options analytics
  • Strong knowledge of the Bloomberg Terminal, Bloomberg data, and the Bloomberg family of indices
  • Strong Excel and/or Python programming skills — for quantitative model development, dataset management, and automation of research workflows
  • Master’s degree or PhD in Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative discipline
