Position Overview
The Shift In Charge – AFR Handling administers warehouse and ground operations processes to provide smooth operations for movement, storage, and inventory control of materials, finished goods, tools, and packaging, in line with business strategy and corporate guidelines and policies.
 Why This Role Matters: As Shift In Charge – AFR Handling, you manage, execute, and support delivery of warehouse/distribution center and ground operations processes, operate warehouse equipment such as forklift trucks and scanners to process incoming and outgoing shipments, receive items and inspect the condition for damage or defects, verifying them against shipment records, accurately sort, label, and store goods, optimizing warehouse space, perform order fulfilment based on customer requirements, gathering and packing items for shipment, arrange daily pick-up schedules and dispatch pick-up delivery information efficiently, and support team members with less experience in different or difficult situations, contributing to DHL’s mission of connecting people and improving lives.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse & Ground Operations
- Manage, execute, and support delivery of warehouse/distribution center and ground operations processes
- Operate equipment such as forklift trucks and scanners to process incoming and outgoing shipments
Inspection & Inventory Management
- Receive items and inspect condition for damage/defects, verifying against shipment records
- Accurately sort, label, and store goods, optimizing warehouse space
Order Fulfilment & Dispatch
- Perform order fulfilment based on customer requirements, gathering and packing items for shipment
- Arrange daily pick-up schedules and dispatch pick-up delivery information
Issue Resolution & Team Support
- Resolve recurring delivery issues and shipment/package exceptions
- Support team members with less experience in different or difficult situations

- Vocational/Specialized/Technical/Certification
Experience Requirements
- More than 2 years of relevant experience

- Ability to operate warehouse/distribution center and ground operations equipment
