Position Overview
This Sourcing Manager role involves identifying, evaluating, and developing reliable suppliers across China and other global markets, developing strategic sourcing plans, and negotiating pricing, contracts, and delivery schedules with international suppliers. You will manage end-to-end sourcing activities, ensure sourced products meet quality and technical specifications, identify cost-saving opportunities, monitor supplier performance, and mitigate international sourcing and supply chain risks.

 Key Responsibilities
Supplier Identification & Strategic Sourcing
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers across China and other global markets
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans aligned with business objectives
- Conduct market research to identify new suppliers, products, technologies, and sourcing opportunities
Negotiation & End-to-End Procurement
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules with international suppliers
- Manage end-to-end sourcing from supplier identification and purchase orders through final delivery
- Build and maintain strong long-term supplier relationships
Quality, Risk & Performance Management
- Ensure sourced machinery, equipment, and structural components meet required specifications
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery timelines, quality, and commercial terms
- Identify and mitigate risks related to international sourcing, logistics, and supply disruptions
- Provide regular updates to senior management on sourcing activities, costs, and savings
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Procurement, or a related field
Experience Requirements
- 5–7 years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management
- Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on experience sourcing machinery, equipment, or structural components from China
- Strong knowledge of the Chinese supplier and manufacturing ecosystem
Essential Skills
- Strong supplier negotiation, cost analysis, and vendor management skills
- Good understanding of international logistics, import processes, and customs procedures
- Strong knowledge of supplier quality and compliance requirements
- Excellent English communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, international environment
- Willingness to travel internationally on a need basis
