Position Overview
The Team Lead Supply & Quality (m/w/d) at MetaFlow in Germany is a full-time, fully remote leadership role with end-to-end responsibility for both supply chain performance and quality management across the organization. You will operationally steer daily supply performance including demand planning, procurement, and inventory control, as well as quality performance including QM incidents and audits — all measured against clear KPIs. Leading a five-person team spanning demand planning, procurement, supplier management, quality management, and regulatory affairs, you will also define the overall strategic concept for the supplier and quality network, including IFS certification and regulatory governance, in direct operational cooperation with the Lead Buyer and Quality Manager, and report regularly to the Head of Operations.
Why This Role Matters: As Team Lead Supply & Quality at MetaFlow, you will own the most critical operational backbone of a fast-growing German FMCG brand, drive supply chain efficiency and food safety excellence across a complex third-party manufacturing network, directly shape the strategic direction of both supplier qualification and quality systems, lead a motivated five-person team with full autonomy and COO-level visibility, and help more people across Germany live a healthier life through a brand that genuinely believes in what it does.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Supply & Quality Performance Steering
- Operationally steer daily supply performance across demand planning, procurement, and inventory management using defined KPIs including OOS rate, stock coverage, and delivery reliability
- Monitor and manage daily quality performance including QM incidents, corrective actions, and audit management against CAPA closure rate targets
- Identify and implement prioritized continuous improvement (CI) measures across both supply and quality team areas simultaneously
- Connect and strengthen the critical interface between procurement and quality management — ensuring seamless coordination between the two functions
Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead a five-person team with full functional and disciplinary responsibility across demand planning, procurement, supplier management, QM, and regulatory affairs
- Conduct monthly feedback discussions with each team member alongside regular weekly team sessions to ensure alignment and continuous development
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and collaboration within the team — aligned with MetaFlow’s entrepreneurial and trust-based work philosophy
- Support team members in growing their skills and capabilities across supply chain and quality functions within the FMCG consumer health sector
Strategic Supplier & Quality Network Development
- Develop and own the overall strategic concept for the supplier and quality network including procurement strategy, supplier qualification, and QM system design
- Drive IFS certification processes and build a robust regulatory governance framework in direct operational cooperation with the Lead Buyer and Quality Manager
- Shape the long-term strategic development of both the supplier and quality network to support MetaFlow’s ambitious brand and product expansion plans
- Manage and develop supplier relationships across the third-party manufacturing network with a focus on quality, reliability, and cost optimization
Reporting & Cross-Functional Communication
- Deliver regular, structured performance reporting of team KPIs and strategic progress to the Head of Operations / COO with proactive solution proposals
- Communicate relevant supply and quality topics clearly and proactively to senior leadership — always coming with data, insights, and recommended next steps
- Represent the supply and quality function in cross-functional leadership discussions, contributing your expertise to broader business strategy and planning
Qualifications & Requirements
Professional Background & Knowledge
- Solid and demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain Management including demand planning, third-party (3P) manufacturing coordination, and production planning
- Experience or solid exposure to Quality Management and Regulatory Affairs — ideally within the FMCG or food industry sector in Germany or Europe
- Proven experience in steering and developing supplier networks with a strong understanding of supplier qualification and performance management
- Deep process understanding of the end-to-end value chain with the ability to quickly grasp and coordinate adjacent business areas effectively

- Initial cross-functional leadership experience with the confidence to guide a diverse team across multiple disciplines simultaneously
- Strong analytical mindset with KPI-based steering competence and the ability to translate data into clear operational and strategic decisions
- Excellent communication awareness — able to adapt your communication style for team members, peers, and senior leadership (COO level) with equal confidence
- Entrepreneurial thinking with the drive to proactively shape processes, not just manage them
