Bombardier is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join its new Abu Dhabi Service Center at Al Bateen Executive Airport, a state-of-the-art flagship MRO facility set to go live in Q1 2027. This role supports warehouse operations, tooling management, and aircraft parts handling for the entire Bombardier aircraft portfolio.

Material Handlers are essential to safe, efficient aircraft maintenance operations, ensuring parts, tools, and materials are properly received, stored, and issued with full traceability. By maintaining strict inspection and documentation standards, this role directly supports aircraft safety, regulatory compliance, and operational readiness at the new Abu Dhabi facility.

Key Responsibilities

Receiving & Inspection

  • Determine priority items to ensure timely handling of incoming and outgoing parts, including AOG items first
  • Receive and visually inspect all incoming and outgoing materials for physical damage and appropriate documentation, including electrostatic sensitive components
  • Accept aircraft components and materials in accordance with SAP

Inventory & Materials Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory via cycle counts, perpetual, and work-in-progress tracking using computerized and manual systems
  • Ensure material certificates are properly filed and materials are properly stored and linked to the supplier source
  • Ensure material is removed from store before expiration and monitor consumables inventory levels

Tooling & Calibration Control

  • Inspect and identify received tools and equipment and enter tooling in the tooling program
  • Monitor special tooling to ensure all issued tooling is within its calibration period
  • Remove special tooling from its location in advance of its calibration date

Issuance & Compliance

  • Issue approved parts, materials, special tooling, and ground support equipment with appropriate documentation
  • Ensure rejected tools and parts, including suspected unapproved parts, are quarantined and labelled
  • Prepare picked items prior to aircraft input and issuance to Project Responsible/Certifying Staff
  • Adhere to Bombardier’s Maintenance Organization Procedures, including relevant MOE sections, work instructions, and safety and environmental requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • 5 years of experience managing aviation parts, materials, and stores operations within an aviation maintenance or MRO environment
  • Knowledge of human factors, human performance, and human limitations, with the ability to apply these principles in daily operations
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced knowledge of computer systems, processes, and organizational policies
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dangerous Goods Certification and familiarity with IATA regulations and Incoterms
  • Material handling/forklift licence
  • Human Factors training and Part 145 knowledge
  • Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) expertise and a valid First Aid Certificate
  • Experience with SAP ERP systems, particularly in aviation materials management
