 Key Responsibilities

Food Safety & Quality Assurance Monitoring

  • Monitor and maintain all food safety and quality assurance activities across the unit and associated outlets — ensuring full compliance with applicable food safety standards, hygiene regulations, and quality specifications
  • Meticulously maintain all food safety and quality assurance records within the department — ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and fully audit-ready at all times
  • Coordinate with the Site Manager and different sections of the unit to identify, escalate, and resolve food safety and quality assurance issues identified through daily hygiene reports and inspection findings
  • Carry out follow-up hygiene inspections of supplier premises and associated outlets as assigned — ensuring external partners consistently meet the required food safety and hygiene standards

Laboratory Sampling, Pest Control & Hygiene Management

  • Ensure that laboratory activities — including regular drawing of food, water, handprint, and cleaning control samples — are systematically conducted by Quality Controllers on duty across all required sampling points
  • Monitor and maintain pest control activities undertaken by the contracted pest control provider — verifying that pest management programs are executed effectively and in full compliance with food safety requirements
  • Prepare the QHSE roster to monitor and maintain 24-hour food safety and quality assurance coverage across the unit — ensuring no operational period is left without qualified QHSE supervision
  • Ensure optimum and responsible use of stationery, printing materials, office supplies, and laboratory chemicals — supporting departmental budget objectives and resource efficiency throughout the year

Food Handler Training & Customer Complaint Management

  • Provide comprehensive new hire training, refresher training, and on-job training for all food handlers in accordance with the approved training schedule — building a strong food safety culture across the entire site
  • Liaise with the medical department for food handler health certificates, post-vacation staff clearance, and staff infection control management — ensuring all food handling personnel meet health and hygiene compliance requirements
  • Investigate customer complaints related to food safety and quality issues — conducting thorough, evidence-based investigations and providing comprehensive, logical feedback with corrective actions to the Section Head
  • Train and evaluate new Quality Control staff — assessing competency levels, identifying training gaps, and submitting detailed evaluation reports to the Site Manager for review and action

Health, Safety & Safety Management System

  • Conduct comprehensive safety inspections of the site — ensuring a hazard-free working environment and verifying that all tools, equipment, and facilities are safe, adequate, and compliant with applicable safety standards
  • Maintain and continually improve the Safety Management System (SMS) — keeping full awareness of active and developing safety situations and implementing proactive risk management measures
