Position Overview
The Dairy Technologist at Almarai Al Kharj is a technically focused quality and operations improvement role embedded within the CPP 1 production plant. You will plan, implement, and monitor all continual improvement activities — conducting thorough investigations into production issues, identifying root causes of quality deviations, and implementing robust corrective and preventive actions to drive higher product quality and operational efficiency. Working within one of the world’s most advanced dairy manufacturing environments, you will apply your expertise in fermented dairy products, fresh milk, and flavored milk production to help Almarai maintain the uncompromising quality standards that have made it the most trusted dairy brand across the MENA region for nearly five decades.

Key Responsibilities
Continual Improvement & Quality Monitoring
- Plan, implement, and monitor all continual improvement activities within the CPP 1 production plant
- Track quality performance metrics, identify deviation trends, and proactively flag areas requiring corrective intervention
- Support the development and maintenance of quality improvement initiatives across dairy production lines
- Monitor in-process production quality for fermented dairy products, fresh milk, and flavored milk categories
Investigations & Root Cause Analysis
- Lead thorough investigations into quality deviations, non-conformances, and production issues as they arise
- Conduct detailed root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methodologies to identify underlying causes
- Document all investigation findings accurately and present clear, actionable conclusions to production and QA management
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams — including production, engineering, and supply chain — during complex investigations
Corrective & Preventive Actions
- Design and implement effective corrective actions in response to identified quality issues within the plant
- Develop preventive action plans to eliminate recurrence of quality deviations and process failures
- Monitor the effectiveness of implemented CAPA measures through follow-up audits and performance tracking
- Maintain comprehensive CAPA records and ensure timely closure of all open corrective action items
Dairy Plant Operations Support
- Apply in-plant training and hands-on experience in fermented dairy products, fresh milk, and flavored milk manufacturing
- Support daily QC and QA activities across dairy production areas to maintain Almarai’s industry-leading quality standards
- Participate in internal audits, third-party inspections, and regulatory compliance activities within the plant
- Contribute to documentation updates, standard operating procedures, and quality management system records
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Dairy Technology, Food Technology, or a closely related scientific or engineering discipline
- Additional certifications in food safety, HACCP, quality management systems, or dairy science are a strong advantage
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working within a dairy manufacturing plant environment
- In-plant training and practical experience specifically in fermented dairy products, fresh milk, and flavored milk production
- Familiarity with continual improvement methodologies, root cause analysis tools, and CAPA implementation in a food plant
Key Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English — essential for reporting, documentation, and team collaboration
