You’ll be responsible for ensuring compliance with FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification) and meeting all customer requirements while maintaining Halal and Kosher certifications. Your expertise will encompass managing customer audits from major clients including Yum! (KFC, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut) and McDonald’s SQMS (Quality Monitoring Systems). You’ll design and install comprehensive Quality Management Systems covering receipt and storage of Raw Materials and Packaging Materials, in-process material handling and storage, finished goods dispatch, and retail shelf integrity. Your role combines technical quality expertise with compliance management, requiring deep knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), FSSC 22000, GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) standards, and international food safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities & Quality Assurance Duties
Compliance & Food Safety Management
- Ensure compliance with FSSC 22000 certification requirements
- Maintain compliance with all customer food safety requirements
- Ensure adherence to Halal and Kosher certification standards
- Support customer audits including Yum! and McDonald’s SQMS requirements
- Implement and monitor food safety control measures
- Maintain documentation of all compliance activities
Quality Management Systems Design & Implementation
- Design Quality Management Systems for all operational areas
- Install QMS encompassing raw materials and packaging materials receipt and storage
- Establish QMS for in-process material handling and storage
- Implement QMS for finished goods storage and dispatch procedures
- Develop quality parameters and predetermined testing protocols
- Ensure QMS alignment with GMP standards and customer requirements
Quality Control & Testing
- Ensure quality of output through appropriate intervention and inspection
- Conduct regular testing to predetermined quality parameters
- Perform quality checks at receipt, in-process, and finished goods stages
- Ensure integrity of quality analysis through appropriate training
- Manage laboratory instrumentation and testing protocols
- Maintain accuracy of quality testing and documentation
Shelf Life & Product Integrity Management
- Carry out quality audits of finished goods on retail shelves

Safety & Hygiene Assurance

Vendor Management & Certification

Process Documentation & GMP Certification
- Initiate and document process activity and flow diagrams
- Obtain and maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certification

- Update process documentation as needed
Complaint Investigation & Continuous Improvement
- Investigate customer complaints to improve production process

Training & KPI Management

Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- B.Tech in Food Technology required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Microbiology acceptable
- Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science acceptable
- Related degree in food or quality field acceptable
Certifications
- FSSC 22000 certification required
- GFSI Lead Auditor certification required or preferred
- GMP certification knowledge mandatory
- Food Safety certification required
Professional Experience
- 5-8 years of experience in similar quality assurance roles
- Experience from medium to large-sized FMCG manufacturing companies
- Background in food production or dairy manufacturing
- Experience with international quality standards compliance
- Customer audit experience (Yum!, McDonald’s or similar)
