Agronomist Position Overview

The Agronomist position at Wysocki Family Farms represents a core agricultural leadership role supporting every stage of the crop lifecycle from strategic planning through harvest and post-harvest management. You’ll be at the heart of farm operations, implementing and overseeing all agronomic activities across assigned fields to maximize crop yield, quality, and operational efficiency. Your responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive crop plans, setting yield and quality targets, identifying risks with mitigation strategies in partnership with Agronomy and Farm leadership, overseeing soil health programs including cover crops and amendments, ensuring field readiness and seed quality, conducting accurate planting operations, leading regional scouting programs with consistent, high-quality field observations, directing integrated pest management and fertility programs with data interpretation and treatment decisions, monitoring crop water needs and optimizing irrigation schedules, tracking crop development and providing yield forecasts, supporting harvest readiness while monitoring quality and field conditions, evaluating crop quality entering storage, conducting post-season analysis, and ensuring accurate data capture supporting innovation efforts.

As Agronomist, you’ll partner cross-functionally with Farm Managers, Agronomy teams, and Operations staff to support a unified, high-performing team.
