Position Overview
The Logistics Foreman at ALEC Building in Abu Dhabi is a hands-on, field-based site operations role responsible for keeping construction site logistics running safely, efficiently, and on schedule. You will allocate labour resources for logistics activities, maintain plant and operator timekeeping records, monitor third-party certifications, conduct daily safety briefings and toolbox talks, manage diesel filling operations, oversee welfare area standards, coordinate with civil, MEP, and fit-out contractors, and supervise traffic management and plant flagmen. Working from project drawings and logistics plans, you will raise Purchase Requests for logistics materials, support Just-in-Time delivery scheduling, and maintain accurate records for commercial reporting. This is a physically active, detail-oriented, and safety-critical leadership role at the operational front line of one of the UAE’s most respected construction groups.

Key Responsibilities
Labour Allocation & Resource Coordination
- Allocate labour resources efficiently for all logistics activities including edge protection, material shifting, and site establishment
- Maintain accurate timekeeping records for the allocation of plant and operators with a strong awareness of commercial implications
- Monitor third-party certifications for operators, riggers, and plant equipment and request renewals before expiry
- Coordinate with civil, fit-out, and MEP contractors to allocate working and storage areas in line with the logistics plan
Site Safety, Briefings & Compliance
- Conduct Daily Site Task Instructions (DSTIs) and toolbox talks and communicate Method Statements clearly to logistics ground teams
- Ensure full compliance with general site safety rules, regulations, and ALEC Building’s safety management standards at all times
- Supervise traffic management and plant flagmen to maintain safe and efficient vehicle and plant movement across the site
- Apply basic knowledge of lifting activities, temporary works, and lift plans to support safe material movement across the project
Material Movement, JIT Deliveries & Logistics Planning
- Interpret project drawings, details, and specifications to implement logistics layouts effectively across the construction site
- Understand work sequences and raise Purchase Requests for required logistics materials such as hoist bolts, ramps, and consumables
- Apply knowledge of Just-in-Time (JiT) deliveries to optimize material movement and minimize on-site storage congestion
- Oversee diesel filling operations including request tracking and accurate log maintenance across all plant and equipment
Welfare, Records & Commercial Reporting
- Oversee the establishment and ongoing maintenance of welfare area standards at all locations across the construction site
- Maintain accurate and complete records of plant and labour usage for commercial documentation and performance analysis
- Prepare logistics-related data and provide on-site supervision support for commercial reporting requirements
- Ensure all documentation is complete, current, and available for audit, management review, and project reporting purposes
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in construction logistics or site operations within a large-scale construction environment
- Familiarity with logistics planning, site establishment, and material handling on major UAE or GCC construction projects
- Basic understanding of lifting operations, temporary works, and site safety protocols in an active construction setting
- Experience in record keeping, simple documentation, and supporting commercial reporting on construction projects
Key Skills & Attributes
- Strong coordination skills with subcontractors, internal teams, MEP, civil, and fit-out contractors across a live project site
- Effective communication and leadership skills with the ability to brief and direct logistics ground teams clearly and confidently
- High attention to detail and strong organizational ability — accuracy in records and plant allocation is critical in this role
