About the Role
The CNC Programmer independently programs, sets up, and operates CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines to manufacture precision components. The work includes reading engineering drawings, building toolpaths in Mastercam 2022 and PowerMill Ultimate, choosing tooling and fixtures, running first-piece inspection, and guiding junior technicians on machine operation and safety.

Key Responsibilities
Programming & Machining
- Independently program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines
- Interpret complex engineering drawings and turn them into CNC programs in Mastercam 2022 and PowerMill Ultimate
- Select suitable tooling, fixtures, and machining strategies for precision components
- Optimize machining parameters to improve efficiency, tool life, and part quality
Quality & Troubleshooting
- Perform first-piece inspection and troubleshoot machining issues
- Verify dimensions, clearances, and alignments with calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Make sure finished parts meet company quality standards, ISO procedures, and customer requirements
Training, Maintenance & Support
- Train and guide junior technicians on machine operation and safety practices
- Carry out routine maintenance and upkeep of CNC equipment and workstations
- Support loading and machine setup as needed
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or CNC Machining
- Experience with multi-axis CNC machines and mill-turn centers
- Familiarity with prototyping or low-volume production workflows
- Strong command of English, including written communication
- Good troubleshooting, communication, and mentoring abilities
- Preferred: GD&T and drawing-reading skills, plus strong knowledge of cutting tools, materials, speeds, and feeds
- Preferred: skill in creating and optimizing G-code and M-code for multi-axis machining
- Proactive, accountable, and organized in reporting work activities
