 Position Overview
This Junior Sommelier role involves providing wine recommendations and pairings based on guest preferences and menu choices, serving wine and beverages using proper service techniques, and maintaining deep knowledge of the wine list including regions, vintages, varietals, and producers. You will assist with wine inventory, stock rotation, and cellar organization, support wine deliveries, and oversee bar operations including cocktail development, cost control, and quality assurance audits across outlets.

Key Responsibilities
Wine Service & Guest Experience
- Provide wine recommendations and pairings based on guest preferences and menu choices
- Serve wine and beverages professionally, following proper service techniques
- Maintain knowledge of the wine list, including regions, vintages, varietals, and producers
- Uphold excellent guest service standards and contribute to the overall dining experience
Cellar, Inventory & Storage
- Assist with wine inventory, stock rotation, and cellar organization
- Support the ordering and receiving of wine deliveries
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and presentation of all wines
- Oversee glassware cleaning and storage, and conduct weekly inventory
Bar Operations, Cocktails & Quality Control
- Oversee the outlet’s bar operations and other bartenders’ work
- Promote continuous development and refinement of cocktails, and lead new beverage promotions
- Set and enforce quality and quantity standards for drinks, with regular quality assurance audits
- Implement cost control practices, manage POS (Micros) buttons and pricing, and track the cocktail menu
- Maintain a database of standard drink recipes and a preventive cleaning program for glassware and equipment
- Perform opening and closing duties and monitor operating supplies
