A feed manufacturing facility located between Ajman and Sharjah is looking for an experienced Feed & Nutrition Technician to manage nutrition analysis, feed formulation, quality assurance, and processing parameters. This role sits at the heart of turning wheat by-products such as bran and pollard, along with other raw ingredients, into high-quality animal feed that meets exact nutritional specifications. As Feed & Nutrition Technician, you’ll execute daily feed formulation targets based on raw material values and species requirements; run NIR and laboratory analysis on ingredients and finished batches; monitor grinding, mixing, conditioning, and pelleting to protect heat-sensitive nutrients; oversee micro-ingredient dosing and premix distribution; inspect incoming grain shipments; maintain batch logs and Certificates of Analysis; and ensure compliance with UAE MOCCAE feed regulations and HACCP and ISO protocols. The role runs a 6-day week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
About the Feed Facility — Grain & Feed Processing
Location: Between Ajman and Sharjah, United Arab Emirates
Operations: Conversion of wheat by-products and grains into animal feed
Focus: Nutritional accuracy, chemical safety, and physical feed quality
Standards: UAE MOCCAE regulations, HACCP, and ISO food and feed safety
Schedule: 6-day week, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Feed & Nutrition Technician Role — Formulation & Quality Assurance
Department: Feed Nutrition & Quality
Primary Focus: Batch formulation, nutritional testing, processing control
Scope: Raw ingredients through finished feed batches
Mission: Delivering precise, safe, and consistent animal feed
Feed & Nutrition Technician Position Overview
The Feed & Nutrition Technician position is a technical role at the center of feed mill operations, where nutrition science meets day-to-day production. You’ll be responsible for managing raw material nutrition analysis, building and executing feed formulations, and keeping quality assurance and processing parameters on target. Every batch starts with the numbers, so you’ll execute and monitor daily formulation targets based on the nutritional values of each raw material and the requirements of the species being fed. Laboratory and NIR analysis is a regular part of the job, covering incoming ingredients such as wheat bran, grains, and protein meals as well as finished batches. You’ll verify key parameters including crude protein, crude fiber, fat, moisture, ash, calcium, phosphorus, and mycotoxins, making sure the feed meets its specifications before it leaves the mill. On the production floor, you’ll watch grinding, mixing, conditioning, and pelleting closely to avoid heat damage to sensitive nutrients, enzymes, and vitamins. You’ll also oversee micro-ingredient dosing, liquid additions such as fats, molasses, and amino acids, and premix distribution to keep every batch uniform, and troubleshoot physical quality measures including pellet durability index, bulk density, hardness, and fines. Incoming grain shipments are inspected for composition, moisture, bulk density, and insect contamination, and silo and warehouse conditions are monitored to prevent spoilage and mold.
As Feed & Nutrition Technician, you’ll build deep expertise in feed formulation software and laboratory testing equipment, develop a hands-on understanding of mills, pellet presses, conditioners, and dryers, and become a reliable link between procurement, mill operators, and production management when ingredient variance requires formulation changes. Documentation matters just as much as the lab work: you’ll maintain precise batch formulation logs, Certificates of Analysis, and traceability records, and ensure every process follows UAE MOCCAE agricultural feed regulations, HACCP, and ISO protocols. The ideal candidate brings at least eight years of direct technical experience as a nutritionist or technician in a feed mill or integrated grain and feed processing operation, a bachelor’s degree or higher diploma in animal nutrition, food science, veterinary technology, agricultural engineering, or chemistry, and the ability to work on-site across a six-day week. For experienced feed professionals in the UAE, this position offers the chance to lead nutrition quality in a working mill.
Why This Role Matters: As Feed & Nutrition Technician, you make sure the animals that depend on this feed get exactly the nutrition their formulations promise, protect nutrient quality from grinding through pelleting, keep batches consistent and traceable, work with formulation software and modern lab equipment, support regulatory compliance under UAE rules, and build a senior technical career in animal feed manufacturing.
