Position Overview
This Cloud Engineer role mixes platform engineering and consulting. You will shape the architecture, integrate in-house and external components, migrate automation solutions and onboard colleagues to the automation tools.
 Key Responsibilities
Platform Engineering
- Implement, run and develop a cloud-native automation platform with event and batch processing on AWS
- Help shape the technical platform architecture and its technology roadmap
- Integrate self-built components and external software modules into the platform
Migration & Infrastructure
- Plan, coordinate and carry out migrations of existing automation solutions to the cloud
- Build and maintain infrastructure and workflows as code
Enablement & Governance
- Support internal teams in building, modernising and automating processes and workflows
- Run onboardings for the automation tools in use and advise on cloud development best practices
- Ensure compliance and security requirements are met
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Degree in computer science, information technology or engineering, or comparable training or relevant experience
Experience
- Solid experience with AWS development and basic architecture patterns
- Workflow automation and process design knowledge, preferably with Automic
- Very good software development skills, for example Java, Python or TypeScript
- Experience with Unix-based systems and container technologies
- Modern automation with IaC, ideally AWS CDK
Essential Skills
- Interest in designing automation pipelines with IT and business colleagues
- Strong analytical thinking
- German (C1) and English (B2)
