Position Overview
As Data Scientist in Inhouse Consulting, you work in cross-functional teams on questions that move the company, and you structure the route to a solution yourself. You analyse large data sets to find patterns and potential that support business decisions. You build first proofs of concept on your own with end users and guide bigger projects together with internal IT teams. You test and pilot new data science use cases, work with project managers, other departments and the stores, and turn their needs into data-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Data Science in the Business
- Work in cross-functional Inhouse Consulting teams on questions that move the company
- Structure the route to a solution yourself, in regular exchange with business and IT contacts
Analysis & Prototypes
- Analyse large data sets to find patterns, links and potential for business decisions
- Build first proofs of concept on your own with end users, and guide larger builds with internal IT teams
Ideas & Collaboration
- Test, validate and pilot new data science use cases
- Work with project managers, other departments and stores, and help put solutions into operations
- Bring your own ideas and shape data-driven ways of working
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
- Several years in data science or a comparable data-driven role
- Very good Python and experience analysing and preparing complex data
Skills & Mindset
- Strong communication and stakeholder management, able to explain complex topics simply
- Hands-on mentality and curiosity about new technology
- Pragmatic: balance solution quality against development time and maintainability
Nice to Have
- Experience in retail or trade is an advantage, not a must
- Enjoyment of varied topics and a high level of responsibility
