Position Overview
This R&D Officer role focuses on food product research and development at Tasty Food by ASG in Sharjah. You will research and develop new product ideas, improve existing recipes and processes, work closely with cross-functional teams including quality, production, and marketing, and enhance taste, texture, and product consistency while driving innovation in growing food brand.

Key Responsibilities
Product Research & Development
- Research and develop new product ideas aligned with market trends and consumer preferences
- Create innovative food formulations and recipes
- Conduct feasibility studies for new product concepts
- Stay updated on food industry trends and emerging technologies
Recipe & Process Improvement
- Improve existing recipes and production processes
- Optimize formulations for better taste, texture, and nutritional value
- Enhance product consistency across production batches
- Develop cost-effective ingredient alternatives
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with quality assurance teams ensuring product standards
- Collaborate with production teams on scalability and manufacturing feasibility
- Coordinate with marketing teams on product positioning and consumer insights
- Support procurement teams on ingredient sourcing and specifications
Product Testing & Analysis
- Conduct product testing and sensory evaluation
- Analyze product performance and consumer feedback
- Document R&D processes and maintain detailed records
- Prepare technical reports and product specifications
Quality & Consistency Enhancement
- Enhance taste, texture, and overall product consistency
- Develop quality control parameters for new products
- Ensure compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements
- Optimize shelf life and product stability
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Food Technology
- OR BSc/MSc in Nutrition
- OR BSc/MSc in Microbiology
- OR BSc/MSc in Chemistry
- OR related degree in food sciences or related field
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in R&D
- Food product development experience preferred
- Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG industry beneficial

- Problem-solving abilities for product optimization
