Position Overview

Key Responsibilities
Analytical Testing & Instrument Operation
- Perform chemical and nutritional analyses in full accordance with Nestle instructions, guidelines, and all approved laboratory methods
- Operate, calibrate, and conduct routine testing using advanced analytical instruments assigned to your parameters
- Troubleshoot instrument performance issues including HPLC, GC-FID, and ICP-OES systems and escalate technical faults promptly
- Ensure all analytical testing is completed within defined timelines while maintaining the highest levels of accuracy and precision
Data Recording & Laboratory Documentation
- Accurately record, review, and update all analytical data and associated laboratory documentation in real time
- Maintain complete, audit-ready laboratory records that meet ISO/IEC 17025 and Nestle internal documentation standards
- Enter and manage analytical data within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) with full accuracy
- Verify analytical results rigorously and ensure test results are only reported once all quality control criteria have been satisfactorily met
Quality, Safety & GLP Compliance
- Ensure full and ongoing compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), laboratory safety protocols, and 5S housekeeping standards
- Apply applicable quality standards consistently across all laboratory activities and analytical workflows
- Identify and promptly escalate any analytical, technical, or operational issues to the NQAC Laboratory Supervisor
- Maintain a safe, organized, and well-documented laboratory environment at all times
Audit Support & Continuous Improvement
- Support laboratory audits and regulatory inspections by maintaining proper, organized records and documentation at all times
- Participate actively in both internal and external audit processes, drawing on solid working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
- Contribute meaningfully to continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory, identifying opportunities for efficiency and accuracy gains
- Support the implementation of corrective actions and process improvements arising from audit findings or internal reviews
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Food Science, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline
- Postgraduate qualifications or additional certifications in analytical chemistry or laboratory quality management are an advantage
Experience Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on practical experience working in a chemical or nutritional analytical laboratory environment
- Demonstrated experience operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting HPLC, GC-FID, and ICP-OES analytical instruments
- Proven track record of working within ISO/IEC 17025-accredited laboratory environments and interacting with internal and external auditors
Technical Skills
- Solid, practical understanding and daily application of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in a regulated laboratory setting
- Strong working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 quality management requirements with hands-on audit experience
- Practical experience working with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) for data entry, tracking, and reporting
