Key Responsibilities
Electrical System Design & Technical Deliverables
- Support the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems across infrastructure, railway, industrial, and construction projects
- Review contract documents, engineering drawings, and project specifications to prepare accurate and compliant electrical deliverables
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQs), load calculations, single-line diagrams, cable schedules, and full technical submittals for client and consultant review
- Ensure all electrical designs and documentation comply with applicable local UAE codes, IEC standards, and international electrical engineering best practices
Project Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate proactively with consultants, clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal engineering teams to ensure smooth and timely project delivery
- Attend technical coordination meetings, design review sessions, and client progress meetings as the electrical engineering representative
- Support project planning and scheduling activities — tracking electrical milestones, resource requirements, and material delivery programs
- Assist in procurement activities including technical evaluation of material submittals and commercial assessment of electrical equipment .
Testing, Commissioning & Handover (FAT / SAT)
- Support Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and full system commissioning procedures for LV/MV switchgear, control panels, and distribution systems
- Prepare and review Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), commissioning protocols, method statements, and testing records for project quality documentation
- Manage system handover procedures — coordinating with clients and operations teams to ensure complete, fully documented, and signed-off project closeout
Reporting, Risk Management and HSE Compliance
Follow all HSE policies, promote a consistently safe working environment, and ensure electrical works meet all site health and safety requirements
Prepare accurate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and KPI dashboards for project management and client reporting requirements
Proactively identify electrical engineering risks, assess potential project impacts, and recommend practical mitigation measures to the project team
Qualifications and Requirements
Educational Requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline — mandatory qualification for all applicants
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or Project Management is a strong advantage for senior-level consideration
- Professional engineering registration such as PE, CEng, PMP, or UAE MMUP/UPDA certification is a valuable added qualification

- Strong expertise in power distribution systems — load flow analysis, cable sizing, protection coordination, and switchgear selection
- Hands-on experience with LV/MV switchboards, control panels, cable tray and containment systems, earthing, and lightning protection
- Proficiency in electrical engineering design tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, Dialux, or equivalent industry-standard software
- Solid knowledge of local UAE electrical codes, IEC 60364, BS 7671, and HSE standards applicable to construction and infrastructure projects
