Position Overview
This Control Tower Manager role involves leading the expediting team and personally managing critical, high-priority orders, expediting local and international purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers to resolve delivery issues, acting as primary liaison between procurement, warehouse, finance and logistics teams, coordinating transportation and freight movements across air, sea and land, and ensuring real-time ERP updates for all PO milestones and shipment activities.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Operational Control
- Lead and supervise the expediting team, allocating workload based on PO priority and criticality
- Review daily SAP Purchase Order reports, assess urgency and assign work accordingly
- Personally manage critical, high priority and time sensitive orders
- Maintain full visibility of the PO dashboard and provide accurate stakeholder updates
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and prepare supplier performance reviews
Purchase Order Expediting
- Expedite local and international Purchase Orders to ensure timely delivery
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to monitor order progress and resolve delivery issues
- Identify risks, implement recovery plans and escalate delays per procedures
- Ensure real-time ERP updates for all PO milestones and shipment activities
Supplier & Stakeholder Management
- Act as primary liaison between suppliers, procurement, end users, warehouse, finance and logistics
- Resolve supplier performance issues, delivery delays, payment concerns and material discrepancies
- Support supplier performance evaluations and vendor performance reports
Logistics & Freight Coordination
- Coordinate transportation planning and freight movements across air, sea and land
- Monitor shipments from suppliers through final delivery
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, warehouse and logistics providers
- Ensure warehouse readiness for incoming materials and timely receipt processing
Service Delivery & Compliance
- Deliver expediting support across global supplier time zones, including emergencies and holidays
- Ensure adequate resource planning and business continuity coverage
- Comply with all applicable HSE laws, PPE requirements and incident reporting procedures
🎓 Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain Management or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- 5 years of experience in procurement expediting, supply chain or logistics
- Preferably within manufacturing, industrial or energy infrastructure environments in the UAE
- Experience with SAP ERP systems and supplier performance management
Essential Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
