Position Overview
This QC Chemist role involves performing quality control testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished powder coating and thermoplastic products. You will conduct physical, chemical, and performance tests to company and international standards, monitor production batches, investigate non-conforming materials, prepare Certificates of Analysis and laboratory reports, and support customer complaint investigations with corrective and preventive actions.

Key Responsibilities
Quality Control Testing
- Perform QC testing on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products
- Conduct physical, chemical, and performance tests to company and international standards
- Test both powder coating and thermoplastic road marking product lines
- Monitor production batches to ensure consistent quality compliance
Investigation & Root Cause Analysis
- Investigate non-conforming materials and identify root causes of quality issues
- Support customer complaint investigations with detailed technical analysis
- Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for recurring issues
- Coordinate with Production and R&D to resolve quality concerns
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COA) for finished products
- Compile laboratory reports and maintain accurate quality documentation
- Maintain laboratory records and ensure ongoing ISO compliance
- Support product improvement initiatives with clear technical reporting
Raw Material & Supplier Evaluation
- Evaluate new raw materials for approval and use in production
- Conduct approval testing for alternative and backup suppliers
- Assess material consistency and compliance with specifications
- Support sourcing decisions with data-driven laboratory results
Laboratory Operations & Compliance
- Calibrate laboratory equipment to maintain testing accuracy
- Maintain proper laboratory housekeeping and safety practices
- Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, ISO, and HSE standards
- Follow company quality standards across all testing activities
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering
- Related scientific or technical qualification also considered
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a QC Chemist in a relevant industry
- Background in powder coating, thermoplastic road marking, paints, coatings, or chemical manufacturing
- Mandatory hands-on experience with both Powder Coating and Thermoplastic products
- Experience with ISO quality systems, GMP, and GLP frameworks
Essential Skills
- Strong knowledge of laboratory testing methods and analytical instruments
- Solid understanding of quality control procedures and standards
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation
