Position Overview
This Flight Analyst — Revenue Management at Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi forecasts no-show and cancellation trends across assigned routes, optimises overbooking strategies to maximise revenue while balancing guest experience and denied boarding costs, leverages PROS and multiple data sources to identify trends and recommend inventory actions, manages inventory during peak travel periods using market insights and seasonal demand patterns, monitors forward booking trends, analyses route performance for deviations from expected demand, partners with Revenue Management, Market, and Group teams to correct forecast imbalances, provides commercial insights for network decision-making, works with Network Operations and Airport Managers on anticipated denied boarding situations, designs inventory approaches for redemption and non-revenue travel, evaluates revenue dilution risks, and produces insightful reporting demonstrating performance trends and commercial impact.
Why This Role Matters: As Flight Analyst at Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi, every inventory decision you make — every overbooking threshold you set, every no-show rate you forecast, every peak period inventory action you recommend — directly translates into revenue or cost for the airline. An optimised overbooking strategy on a high-demand route fills seats that would otherwise depart empty. An accurate delinquency trend forecast prevents denied boarding scenarios that damage customer loyalty. A timely insight into forward booking deviation on an underperforming route gives the commercial team the intelligence it needs to intervene before the departure date. At a carrier doubling its fleet toward 2030, the quality of your analytical decisions shapes the commercial performance of one of the world’s most ambitious aviation growth stories.
