Position Overview
The Key Account Supply Chain Manager (m/f/d) at L’Oréal Düsseldorf serves as a strategic supply chain partner to key retail accounts — driving end-to-end supply chain efficiency, transparency, and performance improvement through data exchange, customer alignment, and collaborative cross-functional teamwork. This role requires deep analytical and strategic thinking, fluent bilingual German and English communication (both at C1 level), strong FMCG and retail supply chain knowledge, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships across Sales, Customer Care, and International Supply Chain functions within one of the world’s most admired companies.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership with Key Accounts
- Develop and actively strengthen strategic supply chain collaborations with L’Oréal’s most important key retail accounts
- Act as the primary supply chain partner for key accounts — building trust, alignment, and long-term collaborative relationships
- Translate complex supply chain challenges into clear, actionable solutions that create value for both L’Oréal and its customers
- Represent L’Oréal’s supply chain capabilities and commitments at strategic account meetings and joint business planning sessions
End-to-End Supply Chain Efficiency
- Drive end-to-end supply chain efficiency and transparency through structured data exchange and close customer alignment
- Identify and implement process improvements that reduce lead times, improve service levels, and lower supply chain costs
- Analyse supply chain data to identify root causes of inefficiencies and develop data-driven recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with International Supply Chain to align global planning and operations with local customer requirements in Germany
KPI Management & Data-Driven Process Optimisation
- Manage and optimise critical customer KPIs — including product availability, on-time delivery, and order fulfilment performance
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting tools that provide real-time visibility of supply chain performance for stakeholders
- Lead data-driven process improvements across planning, logistics, and order management to enhance overall efficiency
- Present KPI performance, trend analysis, and improvement initiatives to senior management and key account stakeholders
Risk Mitigation & Delivery Performance
- Proactively identify potential delivery risks and work collaboratively with key customers and internal teams to mitigate them
- Develop and maintain contingency planning processes to protect service levels during supply disruptions or demand spikes
- Monitor supply chain risk indicators and escalate critical issues appropriately to prevent impact on customer satisfaction
- Ensure resilience and reliability in supply chain operations to maintain L’Oréal’s reputation as a trusted retail supply partner
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Customer Experience
- Foster seamless communication and coordination across Sales, Customer Care, and International Supply Chain functions
- Drive Customer Experience projects and initiatives that meaningfully enhance satisfaction across key retail accounts
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops, project meetings, and alignment sessions to advance supply chain collaboration
- Act as a bridge between commercial and supply chain functions — translating business needs into operational supply chain actions
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- University degree in Business Administration or Engineering with strong knowledge of current market developments and retail structures
- Ideally includes specific knowledge of FMCG retail markets, consumer goods supply chains, or beauty industry dynamics
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Commercial, E-Commerce, or CDMO environments — preferably in FMCG or retail
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex key account relationships and drive supply chain improvement collaboratively
- Strong track record of using data and analytics to drive meaningful supply chain process optimisation and KPI improvement
Language Requirements
- Fluent German at C1 level — both written and spoken — required for daily customer, stakeholder, and team communication
- Fluent English at C1 level — both written and spoken — required for international supply chain and L’Oréal global team communication
