Key Responsibilities
Radar Commissioning — Setting to Work, FAT & SAT
- Execute radar system commissioning including Setting to Work, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), and environmental/EMI-EMC testing
- Perform integration, commissioning, and FAT/SAT testing ensuring full compliance with system specifications and defence customer requirements
- Validate system performance under real operational conditions across factory, customer, and military deployment environments
- Prepare technical documentation, test plans, procedures, and customer reports with high standards of clarity, accuracy, and rigour
Field Operations & Complex Troubleshooting
- Execute field operations and integration activities — supporting on-site engineering tasks across domestic and international locations
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting of complex hardware/software, RF, power, and network issues on advanced radar platforms
- Identify root causes of system anomalies and implement effective corrective actions under operational field conditions
- Provide on-site integration, testing, and training support with availability for travel to military bases and international locations
Radar Signal Data Analysis & Performance Validation
- Analyze radar logs and signal data using automation and analysis tools including Python, MATLAB, and Julia
- Validate system performance under operational conditions and document findings to customer and defence standards
- Apply data analysis results to identify performance trends, anomalies, and opportunities for system optimization
- Work within multidisciplinary teams across RF, hardware, software, and systems disciplines on complex field campaigns
Defence Customer Engagement & Technical Documentation
- Work directly with defence customers to support system validation, acceptance testing, and MIL-STD qualification processes
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, test plans, and customer-facing reports with minimal supervision
- Communicate complex technical findings clearly and professionally to defence stakeholders and programme teams
- Demonstrate capability to operate effectively in multidisciplinary field campaign environments across RF, hardware, and software disciplines
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in radar integration and field engineering
- Extensive experience performing FAT/SAT, environmental, and EMI/EMC tests and on-site system validation
- Experience working directly with defence customers and understanding MIL-STD qualification processes
- Demonstrated capability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams on complex field campaigns
Essential Technical Skills
