Position Overview
This Air Logistics Customs Clearance Specialist role involves monitoring shipment status and managing end-to-end air logistics operations, handling customs clearance processes, coordinating with GHA for cargo retrieval and handover, arranging transportation for timely cargo collection and delivery, updating shipment milestones and documentation, preparing and controlling shipment paperwork, and handling discrepancies such as missing cargo or damage reports with proactive stakeholder updates.

Key Responsibilities
Shipment Operations & Customs Clearance
- Monitor shipment status, manage end-to-end air logistics operations and ensure all service timelines are met
- Handle customs clearance processes
Cargo Coordination & Transport
- Coordinate with GHA for cargo retrieval/handover, including delivery order issuance, slot booking and customs inspection
- Nominate customer/agent for direct collection at terminal when required
- Arrange transportation and ensure timely cargo collection/delivery
Documentation & Milestone Management
- Update shipment milestones and upload required documents in a timely manner
- Prepare and control shipment documentation such as exit/entry forms and claim submissions
Issue Resolution & Reporting
- Handle discrepancies and deviations, including missing cargo and cargo damage reports and claims
- Provide proactive updates to stakeholders on issues and resolutions
- Report operational issues, disputes or discrepancies to supervisors or managers immediately
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience Requirements
- Proven experience in air logistics operations and AOG cargo
- Strong knowledge of customs clearance procedures and air cargo handling
- Experience in leading teams or supervising operational functions
