Position Overview
The Assistant Regional Quality Assurance Manager at Almarai in Dammam is a full-time, senior quality leadership role responsible for ensuring business performance and improving customer satisfaction by maintaining regional compliance across Quality and Food Safety management systems, processes, and personnel. You will implement HACCP programs, lead comprehensive audit plans against ISO 9001, ISO 22000, and ISO 14001 standards, direct regional teams in day-to-day quality operations, monitor and report regional KPIs, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across Almarai’s Storage and Distribution operations in the Eastern Province region of Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities
HACCP Program & Food Safety Compliance
- Implement a successful HACCP program at regional level covering all food safety risks associated with storage and distribution operations across the Dammam region
- Ensure regional compliance with all quality and food safety management systems, processes, and standards applicable to Almarai’s FMCG operations in the Eastern Province
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement across regional quality and food safety functions — developing personnel and optimizing resources to achieve business objectives
- Monitor and ensure full adherence to Almarai’s core principle of “Quality You Can Trust” across all regional operations and customer-facing quality touchpoints
Regional Audit Program Management
- Implement a regional comprehensive audit plan and conduct formal audits against ISO 9001, ISO 22000, ISO 14001, and Almarai Internal Standards across all regional sites
- Implement a regional comprehensive AIBI inspection plan and conduct inspections against AIBI standards with proper documentation and corrective action follow-up
- Identify audit findings, implement corrective and preventive actions, and track closure to ensure sustained compliance across the regional network
- Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings to the relevant stakeholders with clear corrective action timelines and accountability assignments
Regional Team Leadership & Operations Support
- Lead and direct the regional QA teams to provide comprehensive day-to-day service supporting all core regional activities and associated quality processes
- Drive formulation of strategies, problem solving, decision making, and risk management at the regional level across storage and distribution quality operations
- Support and develop regional quality team members — building capability, initiative, and a strong personal accountability culture aligned with Almarai’s values
- Collaborate with regional operations, logistics, and sales teams to ensure quality and food safety requirements are consistently integrated into all business processes
KPI Monitoring, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Record, measure, monitor, and report regional KPI performance through established methodologies — generating clear, regular reports for senior management review
- Analyze regional quality performance data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities across the Dammam and broader Eastern Province operations
- Optimize resources and activities across the regional quality function to continuously improve efficiency, reduce non-conformances, and enhance customer satisfaction
- Proactively contribute improvement ideas and quality enhancement initiatives that advance Almarai’s regional business performance and FMCG market leadership position
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in any Science or Engineering discipline is required — Dairy Technology or Food Technology qualifications are particularly relevant for this role
- Additional certifications in ISO Lead Auditor, HACCP, or Food Safety Management are a strong advantage
Experience Requirements
- 5 to 6 years of proven experience within the FMCG industry in a quality function — with hands-on ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 HACCP implementation experience
- Strong grounding in distribution and logistics quality management — essential for this regional storage and distribution focused QA role at Almarai Dammam
- Demonstrated experience working within the Middle East FMCG market — GCC market knowledge is a mandatory requirement for this regional quality leadership position
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English — required for professional reporting, audit documentation, and stakeholder communication across the region
