Position Overview
This dialysis nursing role centers on patient care during treatment. You will connect and disconnect patients from modern dialysis machines, monitor vital signs, document care and advise patients and relatives.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
- Care for patients through all phases of dialysis treatment
- Independently connect and disconnect patients to modern dialysis machines according to the schedule and monitor vital signs
- Keep care documentation accurate and secure
Advice & Teamwork
- Advise and give psychosocial support to patients and relatives, including accompanying rounds
- Work in a trusting, cooperative way with the interdisciplinary treatment team
Qualifications & Requirements
Qualification
- Completed training as a nurse (Gesundheits- und Krankenpfleger), nursing specialist (Pflegefachmann/-frau) or geriatric nurse
- Medical assistants (MFA), paramedics (Notfallsanitäter), OTA or ATA are welcome as career changers
Experience
- No nephrology or dialysis experience needed; structured onboarding provided
Skills
- Sense of responsibility and comfort with complex treatment situations
- Team player with a friendly personality and empathy with patients
