Position Overview
This Fashion Designer position is a creative and technical leadership role within a thriving Dubai luxury fashion house. Key Responsibilities
Creative Concept Development
- Develop compelling and original fashion concepts fully aligned with the brand’s creative vision and seasonal direction
- Create detailed, high-quality design illustrations and visual concepts using Procreate and Adobe Photoshop
- Research emerging global fashion trends and translate them into commercially aware and wearable design ideas
- Ensure every design concept reflects the brand’s aesthetic identity while pushing creative boundaries thoughtfully
Technical Design & Documentation
- Prepare accurate and comprehensive technical packs with clear specifications for development and production teams
- Create precise patterns, technical drawings, and design documentation required for garment manufacturing
- Maintain organized and detailed design records covering all collection development stages from sketch to sample
- Review and approve technical documentation before production handover to ensure accuracy and quality compliance
Garment Development & Construction
- Support and actively participate in pattern making, draping, and full garment development processes on-site
- Ensure strong execution of each garment from initial toile stage through to final approved production sample
- Oversee fitting sessions and provide detailed technical feedback to pattern makers and production teams
- Maintain an exceptional eye for silhouette, fabric selection, garment finishing, and luxury construction detail
Collection Planning & Brand Direction
- Play an active role in planning full collections including RTW, occasion wear, and luxury eveningwear categories
- Balance creative innovation with commercial practicality and real-world wearability across every collection design
- Ensure collections maintain a cohesive brand narrative while incorporating fresh and forward-thinking design ideas
- Contribute to mood board development, fabric selection, and colour story planning for each new seasonal range
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with internal creative, merchandising, and production teams to bring every collection season to life
- Collaborate effectively with external manufacturing partners, fabric suppliers, and embellishment artisans
- Communicate design intent clearly and professionally across all stages of the development and production process
- Contribute positively to a collaborative studio culture where creativity, precision, and teamwork all thrive together
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a closely related creative discipline from an accredited institution
- Additional certifications in pattern making, garment construction, or luxury fashion are a strong advantage
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional fashion design experience, ideally within luxury or high-end womenswear brands
- 5+ years of Retail Apparel and Fashion industry experience with a strong and diverse design portfolio
- Proven track record in designing and delivering complete full collections across RTW, occasion, or eveningwear
- Hands-on experience with draping, garment construction, and working directly with pattern makers and factories
Essential Skills
Collaborative and positive team mindset with ability to work effectively across all stages of the design process
Strong technical and creative fashion design skills with an exceptional eye for detail, silhouette, and finishing
Advanced proficiency in Procreate and Adobe Photoshop for design illustration and visual concept development
