Position Overview
This Food Safety Specialist role involves conducting on-site audits at local food suppliers and e-audits for overseas suppliers, investigating critical food safety-related customer complaints, and performing microbiological analysis while maintaining ISO 17025 certification requirements. You will supervise and guide the food safety team, ensure CCPs, OPRPs, and PRPs are monitored per the Hazard control plan, and participate in HACCP reviews during new product development.

Key Responsibilities
Inspection, Auditing & Performance Monitoring
- Carry out spot verification through internal inspections and communicate through shift reports
- Monitor food safety performance through internal audits and customer complaints, preparing trend analysis
- Conduct on-site audits at local food suppliers and e-audits for overseas suppliers
- Investigate critical food safety-related customer complaints or supplier issues
Laboratory & HACCP Compliance
- Perform microbiological analysis, ensuring ISO 17025 certification requirements are maintained
- Ensure CCPs, OPRPs, and PRPs are monitored and verified per the Hazard control plan
- Take part in HACCP review during new product development and process changes
Team Supervision & Customer Compliance
- Supervise and guide Food Safety Supervisors, Sr Food Safety Assistants, and Food Safety Assistants
- Assist in Food Safety audits conducted by Airline and Commercial customers
- Support the Food Safety Manager or Senior Food Safety Manager on daily operations and improvement
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or Food Technology or equivalent (must have)
- Level 4 Food Safety training or equivalent (preferred to have)
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Food Safety-related role
- Experience within catering business, food manufacturing, or a related field

- Good standard of written and spoken English

- Good communication skills
