Position Overview
As Head of Department, you make sure invoices are issued on time and completely and that incoming payments are monitored. You are responsible for smooth billing and incoming invoice processing, set up new customers and improve processes, and tune interfaces with other departments. You help with monthly and annual closing, act as the contact for complex billing questions and lead your staff, both in terms of work and as line manager, helping them develop.

Key Responsibilities
Billing & Invoices
- Make sure invoicing is timely and complete and monitor incoming payments
- Own smooth processes in invoicing and incoming invoice processing
Processes & Customers
- Set up new customers and develop and adapt processes
- Coordinate and improve interfaces with other departments
Closing & Leadership
- Help with monthly and annual closing
- Be the contact for complex billing questions
- Lead staff in both work and line-management terms and keep developing them
Qualifications
Education
- Completed commercial training, ideally in freight forwarding or logistics, or a business degree
Experience & Skills
- Several years of commercial experience and first leadership experience
- Confident with MS Office; freight software such as Anaxco and SAP ideal
- Good German and English
