Requirements for Junior Quantity Surveyor Job

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in quantity surveying, preferably with exposure to building construction
• Technical Knowledge:
  • Basic understanding of construction methods, materials, and processes
  • Sound knowledge of taking quantities from drawings and site measurements
  • Proven ability to assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BoQs)
  • Understanding of civil works processes and costing

Technical Skills

• Software Proficiency:

  • Microsoft Excel for comprehensive data analysis, cost reporting, and financial modeling
  • Basic proficiency in CAD or PlanSwift software is advantageous

• Industry Knowledge:

  • Familiarity with relevant standard forms of contract
  • Knowledge of the local supply chain for construction materials and services
