About the Role — Lab Chemist Abu Dhabi
Employer: Al Serkal Group L.L.C
Industry: Water treatment, desalination, and waste management
Department: Quality, testing, QA/QC, and inspection
Focus: Feedstock quality analysis, laboratory records, plant monitoring through SCADA, and HSE compliance
Vacancy: 1 position, full-time
Why This Chemist Role Stands Out
Practical Chemistry: Hands-on testing of oils and fats for suitability and quality
Plant Exposure: Work with SCADA monitoring and production teams, not only in the lab
Open Hiring: Any nationality and any gender can apply
Compliance Experience: Build experience with regulatory audits, HSE procedures, and safety training
Position Overview
The Lab Chemist analyzes raw materials, such as vegetable oils or animal fats, to check suitability and quality, keeps accurate test records, and prepares reports for quality assurance and regulatory audits. Beyond the lab bench, the role gives feedback to production teams on feedstock quality and process efficiency, troubleshoots quality issues with corrective actions, and works to cut waste and raise yield. The role also involves running plant processes through the SCADA interface in line with standard operating procedures, preparing daily and monthly reports, and supporting safety audits, incident documentation, and training in line with company HSE policies.
Why This Role Matters: Plant output is only as good as the materials going in. A Lab Chemist who catches an off-spec feedstock early saves the plant from wasted batches, equipment problems, and failed audits — and gives production teams the data they need to run more efficiently.

Safety, Compliance & Documentation
- Make sure laboratory operations meet safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
- Apply safety procedures and training programs for plant personnel under company HSE policies
