Position Overview
The Logistics Dispatcher (m/f/d) at Max Bögl in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz manages end-to-end truck and driver dispatching operations for one of Germany’s most vertically integrated construction groups. Daily responsibilities include dispatching trucks and drivers, applying for transport exemptions under German Road Traffic Regulations, monitoring transport deployment plans, controlling driver working and rest hours, obtaining transport quotes, awarding contracts, and strategically planning the modal shift of construction transport from road to rail and inland waterway — contributing directly to Max Bögl’s sustainability and logistics excellence goals.

Key Responsibilities
Truck & Driver Dispatching
- Dispatch trucks and drivers efficiently across all Max Bögl transport operations to meet project delivery schedules
- Monitor and manage transport deployment plans to ensure optimal vehicle and driver utilisation across all assignments
- Control and monitor the driving, rest, and working hours of all assigned drivers in full compliance with legal requirements
- Apply for exemptions pursuant to Section 29 of the Road Traffic Regulations and Section 70 of the Road Traffic Licensing Regulations
Transport Contract Management & Freight Exchange
- Obtain competitive transport quotes from external carriers and logistics partners for Max Bögl project requirements
- Award transport contracts to appropriate service providers based on price, reliability, and operational fit
- Utilise the Timocom freight exchange platform to source transport capacity and manage spot freight requirements efficiently
- Negotiate and manage transport agreements ensuring cost-effectiveness and on-time delivery performance for all projects
Modal Shift Planning — Road to Rail & Waterway
- Plan, manage, and actively support the modal shift of construction transport from road to rail and inland waterway networks
- Contribute to Max Bögl’s sustainability goals by identifying and implementing greener, multimodal transport solutions
- Coordinate with rail and waterway transport providers to ensure seamless integration with road-based logistics operations
- Analyse transport flows and recommend modal shift opportunities that improve both cost efficiency and environmental impact
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Completed training as a Freight Forwarding Clerk (Speditionskaufmann/-frau), Road Transport Manager, or comparable qualification
- Ideally, practical experience in logistics, transport operations, or freight dispatching within a construction or industrial environment
Technical Skills
- Confident use of MS Office applications — particularly Excel and Word for transport planning, reporting, and documentation
- Practical experience using the Timocom freight exchange platform for sourcing transport capacity and awarding freight
- Familiarity with German road traffic regulations including exemption application processes under StVO §29 and StVZO §70
- Willingness to travel on a daily basis as part of the standard requirements of this transport coordination role
